We’re on a mission to help teens and pre-teens in central Indiana build resilience and improve mental wellness through research-informed programs rooted in connection—with animals, nature, and art. The Chris Center offers an innovative approach to teen wellness by connecting teens and pre-teens to nature and providing opportunities for human-animal interaction. Our programs include:

* Alpaca-Assisted Wellness Programs
* Mindful Arts Program
* Parent Education Series

Big shout out to the students in the Pike High School Bring Change to Mind club for hosting a wonderful mental health fair last week! We had a great time attending and meeting so many great young people. PAWS Dogs Harley Ann and Charlie came along to spread joy and connection with those who attended the fair. We are 99% sure that Charlie's tail is still wagging from all of the fun 😉🐾

This 2025, 68 students turned to Mindful Arts for stress relief, connection, and creative expression: a 36% increase from last year.

Our PAWS Wellness Support Teams visited Westfield High School’s Animal Club — a group of students who already have big hearts for animals and giving back! 🐾✨

With exams right around the corner, Lisa & Winston and Rowan & Dakota brought a little extra calm, connection, and joy to their day! These moments of stress relief matter... especially during high-pressure weeks. 💛

We had such a great time at the Carmel Clay Public Library Volunteer Fair on Saturday! We loved connecting with so many potential volunteers and sharing more about our mission.

PAWS dogs Oakley and Lucie were especially excited to show off their brand new Kindling Minds vests! And they definitely stole the show 🐾💜
