We honor and thank all who have served our country. 🇺🇸 This is Webber, a proud U.S. Navy Veteran. Webber began begging his parents for permission to enlist in the military during World War II. It took his mother 18 months to agree, at which time Webber left his classmates to join the U.S. Navy. In the decades since the end of that war, Webber has supported veterans in many ways – as the National Chairman of the American Legion, for instance, a position he held for 20 consecutive years. He was named to the Indiana War Memorial Commission in the early '70s, and later served as the Executive Director of the Indiana War Memorial located in Indianapolis. His accolades are many, and we're thankful for him every day. This Veterans Day, we pause to remember the sacrifices made in the name of freedom and in the pursuit of peace.💙🤍❤️

We honor and thank all who have served our country. 🇺🇸 This is Myron, a proud U.S. Army Veteran. In 1946, Myron, after graduating from Indiana University, was inducted into the U.S. Army, where he served for a year as a member of the U.S. Army of Occupation stationed in Kyoto, Japan, following the end of World War II. He was responsible for helping Japan rebuild its damaged cities and for ensuring peace was established throughout all areas. His accolades are many, and we're thankful for him every day. This Veterans Day, we remember the sacrifices made in the pursuit of freedom and peace.💙🤍❤️

We honor and thank all who have served our country. 🇺🇸 This is Hermann, a proud U.S. Army Veteran. Just four days after his marriage to Ingrid, who also relocated to the United States from Germany, Hermann was drafted into the U.S. Army and left for Fort Carson, CO. Although the couple had but a few weeks before Hermann's tour of duty began, the couple celebrated their 68th anniversary this past June.His accolades are many, and we're thankful for him every day. This Veterans Day, we pause to remember the sacrifices made in the name of freedom and in the pursuit of peace.💙🤍❤️

In 1959, he was transferred to the world's very first nuclear submarine, the USS Nautilus, under the oversight of Admiral Hyman Rickover. There, he worked as an electrician within the engineering group.His accolades are many, and we're thankful for him every day. Our October Signature Experience, Pumpkin Spice and All Things Nice, was a celebration of gratitude, family, and connection. 🧡 We kicked off this special experience with a health fair. We partnered with self-care vendors, like Rejuvenate Salon and Live Long Well Care, who came to our community to showcase all their wonderful products and services. 🧘‍♂️ After Members strolled the aisles, chatting with our guests, they were treated to pumpkin spice lattes, chia tea, and delicious pastries courtesy of Zing’s Village of WestClay. ☕️ To wrap up the wonderful evening, Members put on their creative caps to paint some pumpkins under the warm autumn sun. ☀️ Laughter and camaraderie filled the air in our courtyard as we enjoyed ourselves at this event. ✨ We’re grateful for our programming teams that made this Signature Experience truly memorable for our Members!

Halloween fun at The Stratford! 👻

Flapper dresses, poodle skirts, and bell-bottoms were everywhere as our community celebrated Halloween through the decades last week—even Trudy the service pup got in on the fun! These timeless looks took over, and our Members loved it. On Halloween, our team held a lively costume contest. 🏆 Brad, our Care Services Administrator, and Misty, our Dietary Manager, stole the show as hilarious Spartan Spirit characters from Saturday Night Live. Little ones from Primrose School visited for trick-or-treating—cuteness overload! 🍬 We loved seeing their costumes and the joy as we handed out goodies. As we wrap up the spooky season, we would like to thank our programming teams for planning such fun activities this past month. Stay tuned to see what fun we share this holiday season!
