The time has come. The boxes are packed, the bed is unmade, and soon, their room will be empty. Your baby is heading off to college, and you’re feeling all the feels. It's okay to feel a little sad, but let's reframe this moment.

Instead of seeing this as the end of an era, see it as the incredible beginning of the next one—for both of you! All those late nights, tough talks, and proud moments have led to this.

They are ready to spread their wings because you gave them roots strong enough to carry them.

So, while they are learning to navigate new classes and social situations, what’s next for you?

This isn’t a time to be a drama queen about the change; it’s a time to be the main character in your own story. Your kid needs to see you thriving, too!
This is your chance to learn that new hobby you've been putting off, take a class at the local rec center, or finally join that book club.

Remember how proud you were when they took their first steps? Get ready to feel that way about yourself. This isn't about filling a void; it’s about growing into the next version of you.

You’ve given them all the tools they need to succeed. Now it's your turn to show them what it means to keep learning and evolving.

Let them be proud of you. Let them tell their new friends, "My mom is learning to rock climb!" or "My mom is finally writing that novel."
You gave them roots and now it's time for them to use their wings.

And for you, it’s time to fly, too.

Let's talk about the comparison trap!

Ever scroll through social media and feel a little...less than?

Remember ~ comparison is the thief of joy! What you see online is often just a highlight reel - filtered, curated, and sometimes completely fabricated.

I've seen firsthand: many are living double lives or vicariously through others, while you might be sitting there feeling like you're missing out.

But here's the real deal: life isn't a competition. You're not less worthy or deserving just because your journey looks different than someone else's.

So....let's flig the script! Instead of focusing on what you don't have, embrace an attitude of gratitude. Appreciate the little things, celebrate your progress, and recognize that where you are today is part of your unique story.

AND....remember, even the most glamorous posts might be hiding a messy reality behind the scenes. So, laugh a little, embrace your journey, and keep dreaming big for tomorrow.
