Lots of couples have one partner who is ready to start therapy and the other who isn't so share (or maybe totally opposed). There is often a fear that therapy will turn into blaming and shaming. There is a worry that the therapist will make someone feel guilt or make them the cause of all the problems. Good couples therapy isn't about placing blame! It's about helping partners change behaviors to improve the relationship.

Grief and loss are common feelings during the holidays. Increased time with family and friends and doing traditions can remind us of lost loved ones. Though grief can be painful, it occurs because we love and treasure what we lost. When we care for ourselves and our grief, it can help us move more easily through this time of year.
