Yesterday was the 25th anniversary of Children’s Health Services Research (CHSR)! I joined this wonderful department as faculty when we moved to Indiana from Seattle back in 2006. This was my academic home while I also did outpatient clinical care and taught future pediatricians at both Riley Hospital for Children and Eskenazi. Among the many people whose paths I crossed for mentoring, collaboration, clinical guidelines work and research… many I met through CHSR. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the majority of the day due to having a full clinic day at my private practice. However, I headed downtown for the reception and was so happy to reunite with so many people I have missed. I spent the evening taking pics with as many people as possible, exchanging updates and getting hugs. It is hard to believe it has almost been 8 years since I last stepped foot in the building. I was reminded of all the friendships and memories that came with the 12 years I was faculty at IU School of Medicine.
