Meet Jenny!

Jenny is a Home Health Regional Travel Nurse (LPN) who has been part of the Adoration team for 18 months. She sees patients in the Union City, Memphis, and Carmel areas.

Her favorite part of her job is meeting the patients and learning their history before they became ill and hearing stories about their life. She loves providing services to them and their caregivers and hearing how grateful they are for the help they receive from home health. She feels a sense of accomplishment seeing a patient meet their goals and be discharged.

To her, home health is special because of the opportunity to learn more about your patients – beyond their diagnosis – and get to know them on a more personal level while maintaining a professional relationship. She says, “Nurses – so many times – forget our patients were not always ‘sick,’ and taking care of them in their home setting reminds us that they are more than just their diagnosis. While taking care of the patient, we also get to know the family/caregivers and give them the education and guidance they need to care for their loved one.”

In her free time, Jenny enjoys spending time at her camper on Kentucky Lake and fishing with her husband. Her dogs bring her a lot of joy, playing with them and walking them. She also enjoys her time with her five kids. Four out of five of her children are grown, and everyone’s hectic lives make it difficult to get the whole family together at once; so she especially loves when they are able to all get together.

For anyone considering a career in home health, Jenny says, “Home health is more than just a job. It is a commitment to your patients and their families to provide excellent care and education. Healthcare workers in this field need to be flexible and a team player in order to provide consistent care for our patients. You also need to be very disciplined in order to be a success in your position. I love being a nurse…I cannot imagine doing anything else that would be this rewarding!”
