Gallbladder and Bile Duct cancers are often silent until later stages, which can make their diagnosis a shock.

For families navigating this difficult terrain, the speed of the disease can be overwhelming.

Our role in hospice is to be the steady ground when everything else is moving too fast. With our spiritual assistance and counseling, we can help families find peace while also providing necessary comfort care.

“I just didn’t see it.”

It’s a common refrain we hear after a fall.

February is , and in the home, poor vision is a safety hazard. Peripheral vision loss or depth perception issues can turn a familiar living room into an obstacle course.

Part of our home health assessment is looking at your home through your eyes — improving lighting, adding contrast strips to stairs, and clearing pathways to prevent unnecessary trips, including to the hospital.

We don’t skip cancer screenings.

As we help our patients manage chronic conditions, we look out for their health in other ways, too.

We offer guidance to ensure you’re on schedule with your cancer screenings and look out for concerning symptoms so you can catch illnesses quickly.

That’s the power of home health!

When we talk about heart disease, you may imagine blocked arteries. Heart Valve Disease is different.

Think of your heart like a house. Coronary artery disease is a problem with the pipes (blockages). Heart Valve Disease is a problem with the doors. If the valves don't open or close tightly, the heart has to work overtime to push blood through.

For treatment, we use medication to manage fluid build-up and reduce strain. For hospice patients, this is a comfort measure that can improve breathing. For home health patients, this treatment can keep you going while awaiting surgery.

Whatever your heart condition, we can help treat it. Reach out to us for more information.

One of the most important forces in our healthcare system doesn’t have formal training.

These people are our caregivers — who help as an act of love.

To this “shadow workforce,” we see you and the good work you do. Please, take a moment for yourself today. It’s our duty to help you.

Accepting home health care is the opposite of giving up your independence.

Bringing in support keeps you at home and out of hospitals and other facilities. It gives you tools and rebuilds your skills so you can continue to do what’s important to you.

If home health sounds like something that could benefit you, reach out to us. Our care team can help get you started.

This Ramadan, remember that your health journey may change how you observe, but it does not change your spiritual connection or your place in your community.

We know that for our patients who cannot fast, the focus often shifts to other meaningful ways to honor the holy month—through fidya (charity), prayer, and the shared joy of breaking bread with loved ones at Iftar.

Ramadan Mubarak, and may you find peace and connection in your celebration this month, whatever it looks like!

This Presidents’ Day, we remember a specific moment on July 30, 1965.

That was the day President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Social Security Amendments, creating Medicare and Medicaid.

With the stroke of a pen, he changed the landscape of American healthcare. He ensured that our seniors and those with disabilities wouldn't have to face illness without resources.

His action continues to impact our patients’ lives today, who are able to access care and live their best lives thanks to his leadership.

The battle isn’t always over after a bout with sepsis.

Post-Sepsis Syndrome impacts 50% of sepsis survivors, and is especially impactful for older victims, with survivors reporting cognitive effects as well as interference in their ability to perform daily activities such as bathing or making meals.

If this is your reality or one that your loved one is experiencing, home health care is a way to address it. We can help patients perform daily tasks, as well as pair them with occupational and physical therapists to work on rebuilding their skills.

Life may look different post-sepsis, but it still can be fulfilling.
