The Children's TherAplay Foundation

Children's TherAplay provides physical, occupational & speech therapy for children with disabilities. The list goes on.

At Children's TherAplay, licensed therapists provide children with disabilities physical, occupational, and speech therapy which uses the movement of a horse as a tool to accelerate physical, emotional, and behavioral development. For over 20 years, TherAplay has been treating kids 18 months to 13 years with a variety of diagnosis and developmental delays and we have grown to become the largest facility specializing in hippotherapy in the country. The horse can provide a therapeutic input that cannot be replicated in any other type of therapy. These inputs have allowed our clients to see transformational outcomes, such as children with mobility limitations taking first steps, non-verbal children saying their first words, children learning to feed themselves independently, and dress and care for themselves more independently.

We are serving up some fun at the 3rd annual Pickle for Ponies event! 🎾

Join us Thursday, February 26th at 6:00 PM for a night of round-robin style pickleball at 3rd Shot Pickleball 🏓Every d**k, lob, drop shot, and drive goes toward a great cause!

Children's TherAplay is thrilled to introduce Group Therapy to our programming 🎉

With this new programming, kiddos can reach important social milestones and extend their progress from individual therapy. We will offer three groups; Movement, Social-Emotional, and Feeding groups all lead by two therapists. Each session cycle will last 7 weeks, meeting 1 hour each week. All are welcome - Group Therapy is open to current TherAplay kiddos and new friends!😄

⭐Volunteer Spotlight⭐

Meet Angela:
Angela began volunteering at TherAplay in August of 2024. Being able to see the kids improvement, the relationships she's made and being with the horses keeps her coming back! Currently, she is a hostess and dogsitter but hopes to go back to school to become a Physical Therapist. In her free time, Angela enjoys listening to music, hanging out with friends and family, doing comedy, dancing, and playing with her dogs. Angela’s positive, calm and kind attitude make her a wonderful part of our volunteer team.

⭐"When I was ten years old I came to Theraplay after I had major brain surgery. The therapist and the horses really helped me gain my strength back! So volunteering here is like a full circle and is really rewarding. Now I get to help kiddos that are like me!” -Angela⭐

Reminder: Children's TherAplay will be closed from December 22nd to December 26th. We will be open on December 31st from 8am to 1pm, and closed again on January 1st. Sessions will resume as normal on January 2nd.
