đ Halloween Pet Safety Tips đŸ
Halloween can be spooky fun for humans, but it can be stressfulâor even dangerousâfor our furry friends. Here are a few tips to keep your pets safe and happy:
Keep Candy Out of Reach đŹ
Chocolate, xylitol (found in sugar-free gum), and other treats can be toxic to pets. Make sure all candy is stored securely.
Watch the Door đȘ
With trick-or-treaters coming and going, pets can slip out unnoticed. Keep them in a quiet room away from the front door, or use a baby gate for extra security.
Costumes Are Optional đ»
If your pet doesnât enjoy dressing up, donât force it. If they do wear a costume, make sure itâs comfortable, doesnât restrict movement, and has no small parts they could chew off.
Decorate with Care đŻïž
Curious pets can knock over candles or chew on electrical cords. Use flameless candles and keep decorations out of reach.
ID is a Must đ·ïž
Make sure your pet is wearing a collar with up-to-date ID tags, just in case they do get out.
Letâs make Halloween safe and fun for everyoneâincluding our four-legged family members! đ¶đ±đ
