Bridge of Promise Recreational, Social and Life Skills Opportunities for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.

Bridge of Promise is a local non-profit organization founded to enrich the lives of teens and adults with developmental disabilities. We do this by offering community-based day programs for adults ages twenty-one and up who have transitioned out of high school. We also provide engaging events and opportunities throughout the year for all ages of people with developmental disabilities.

July is Disability Pride Month! 💙
At Bridge of Promise, we honor the beauty, strength, and pride in disability every single day—but this month, we’re celebrating even louder.
Disability Pride Month is about shifting the narrative—from limitation to empowerment, from stigma to self-advocacy. It’s a time to challenge stereotypes, and amplify the voices of people with disabilities.
Our members are creative, powerful, kind, hilarious, and incredibly capable. We’re proud to stand alongside them this month and always. 💙

Thanks to generous donor support, we’ve expanded to now serve 50 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities every week in our drop-in programs. These programs provide parents and caregivers the opportunity for respite outside our regular community programs and are available monthly on a first-come, first-served basis.

Announcing BP Chocolates’ Spring Collection

BP Chocolates, creator of the most beautiful and delicious chocolates we’ve ever tasted, is currently taking orders for its spring collection.

Britney Porter, owner and chief chocolatier of BP Chocolates, generously donated the full proceeds of her holiday sales to Bridge of Promise. This spring, she’s supporting another cause close to her heart: the 11q Research and Resource Group.

Britney says, “I have two nephews with Jacobsen’s Syndrome (11q Deletion), a rare genetic disorder caused by abnormalities of the 11th chromosome. All proceeds from my spring collection will benefit the 11q Research and Resource Group, a nonprofit that provides support to families through information sharing, research cooperation, and advocacy.”
