🎄💪 Stay Healthy Through the Holidays! 💪🎄

Let’s be honest, the holiday season can be stressful and chaotic, but it doesn’t have to derail your health goals!

I came across a great article from the American Heart Association with simple, science-backed tips to help you stay balanced, energized, and joyful this season — without sacrificing your well-being. ❤️✨

Here are a few of my favorite takeaways:
⭐ Keep up healthy habits: small routines matter, even during festive weeks. 
⭐ Stay active: take a walk, dance in the kitchen, or play with family outdoors. 
⭐ Don’t forget “me time”: a few minutes of self-care goes a long way. 
⭐ Plan for the New Year : use this time to reset, not restart.

Done and done! Snap shot of the 2025 Hyrox Event at Navy Pier. My brother asked for some training tips about 5 months ago to get himself ready for this epic functional fitness challenge and we met a few times to go over his program progression. 30lbs loss later he needs a new swim suit. He soared like an eagle last Sunday night as we conquered each event and had some fun along the way. Dad bod no more! Thanks for allowing me to share in your fitness journey bro! .

Other variables to his success were of course an open mind, diet modifications and less alcohol. Thanks to the team at for providing truly delicious and healthy beverage alternatives and a special thanks to the owner Joe for his inspiration and support!

A study from the American Heart Association just found that you don’t need to work out every day to get major health benefits.

Researchers looked at over 93,000 people and discovered something surprising:
💥 Even those who squeezed their workouts into just 1–2 days a week — the “weekend warriors” — had similar reductions in death risk as people who exercised regularly throughout the week.

That means:
✔️ 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous movement per week
✔️ Done any way that fits your life
✔️ Still supports your heart, longevity, and overall health

So if your week feels chaotic… if kids, work, or life pull you in a million directions… don’t stress.
Consistency matters, but perfection doesn’t.

Move your body when you can, make it count, and your health will thank you. 💪

Wow — what a massive amount of snowfall expected today! Whether you’re shoveling, sledding with the kids, or just trying to walk to your car without doing the accidental “winter shuffle,” remember this: snow counts as a workout too! 💪

A few quick tips to stay safe and keep your body happy:
🏋️‍♂️ Warm up before shoveling — a few arm circles and hip hinges go a long way.
❄️ Take breaks so you don’t overdo it.
🚶‍♀️ Use those legs, not your back!
💧 Don’t forget to hydrate — cold weather can be sneaky.
