Team CBPT was out on the course for the Surf City Fitness 5K, despite the very windy and unusually chilly May weather. Congratulations to Dr. Kaitlyn Carpenter who ran the entire 3.1 miles for her first official road race! Kaitlyn was inspired to run a 5K after walking the Lo Tide 5K in March, along with friends and family, in memory of her father, Jimmy Henley Jr.

Today is Administrative Professionals Day, and you know we had to celebrate our one and only Jenny! If you’ve been to CBPT then you know Jenny is the one who keeps the wheels turning. She says she can’t juggle, but we know that’s not true because she’s the master at managing all of the moving parts. Thank you, Jenny, for all that you do!

Today is World Parkinson’s Day, and CBPT was well-represented at the Beat Parkinson’s Today Senior Wellness symposium in downtown Wilmington. Dr. Kaitlyn Carpenter and Dr. Tayler Turner were on hand to answer questions about the role of physical therapy for clients with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions. They were thrilled to see Mike - a CBPT graduate and symposium attendee. Mike stopped by the clinic earlier this year to participate in a video with Tayler and Kaitlyn, showcasing the exercises he learned through CBPT’s program for clients with Parkinson’s Disease.

Team CBPT and Team Cancer has Jimmy joined forces on a damp and foggy morning to tackle the Lo Tide 5K in memory of Dr. Kaitlyn Carpenter’s father, Jimmy Henley Jr. Always up for a good time, we believe Jimmy would have loved the spirit and the cause behind the Lo Tide. Today we were honored to carry his name on our backs as we walked and ran together to lift up cancer warriors in New Hanover County.

Happy Big 30th Birthday to Dr. Tayler Turner! We celebrated with Tayler at work on Friday since her birthday actually falls on Saturday. Even though this picture was taken one day early we still feel confident that she is making 30 look just as good today!

Happy Birthday to Dr. Kaitlyn Carpenter! We kicked off her birthday weekend with a Starbucks start, and Flaming Amy's Burrito Barn CB for lunch. Then we sent her off to enjoy the rest of her birthday weekend with family and friends.
