June Retreat. Discovering your compassionate Voice Through mindfulness, self-compassion becomes a beautiful way to enhance physical and emotional well-being. Self-compassion involves treating yourself the way you would treat a good friend, and during this retreat, you will learn how to be a good friend to yourself when you need it the most. We often put ourselves down, and our brain automatically goes to the critical voice inside of us. How do we begin to work on this? Building the self-compassion part of the brain is like exercising. It does not happen all at once; it takes practice. We led our group on a journey to begin to discover the loving and kind voice that can be hidden deep inside of us.

The new member of the Mindful Here and Now family.
Meet Kylo he is golden retriever labrador rescue. He is between 3 1/2 months and four months old. We rescued him from the forever home rescue. Kylo and I are going in a long journey for him to become a therapy dog. I hope to incorporate him into my retreats. There is nothing in this world that gives me more compassion and unconditional than the love of an animal.
I will keep you posted on this journey. I hope you can come out and visit with him soon.

Starting February 22nd at 10am join me for a free zoom Mindful Self-compassion Gathering. Free gatherings will be held on the last Saturday of every month.

I have found that there are many benefits to meditating together as a community. We can meditate on our phones with the many different meditation apps. However, the energy and wisdom of people's experience with meditation and self-compassion are only expressed through a community. A meditation community helps establish a meditation practice with like-minded meditators and allows you to be part of a self-compassionate community. We will meet for 30 minutes. I will facilitate a 20-minute meditation followed by a 10-minute discussion based on a reflection question. You will experience different mindful self-compassion practices such as
* Self-compassion break
* Affectionate breathing
* Compassionate body scan
* Gratitude
* Self appreciation
* Love and kindness meditation
