A Carroll County Public School Board member who’s outraged that Frederick County’s Policy 443 respects students’ preferred pronouns and allows trans kids to exist safely and authentically in schools.

Let’s get this straight:
🏳️‍🌈Steve is fine demanding his preferred name be used…🏳️‍🌈
🏳️‍🌈…but loses his damn mind when a trans student asks for the same courtesy?🏳️‍🌈

So, Steve —
Is this really about “policy”?
Or is it about your obsession with bullying and dehumanizing trans kids to score political points?

Because this isn’t protecting anyone.
It’s not about bathrooms, or sports.
It’s about control. It's about fear.
It's about targeting vulnerable kids under the lie of “morality.”

⚠️ Pronouns aren’t dangerous.
⚠️ Trans kids in schools aren’t a threat.
⚠️ The only threat here is bigots in power using children as pawns.

With the end of an incredibly polarizing election looming, I hope to offer some words of wisdom and empowerment!

No matter who wins, you still have the power to better the world around you.

So, What will you do to better the lives of those around you? You have gifts and talents!! How are you going to use them to serve people in need?

🥶If you see a freezing homeless person... will you give him clothes? Or food or a blanket?

😢If you see a neighbor crying, will you go offer them comfort?

🥺Will you help find resources for you friend struggling depression or anxiety?

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️Will you offer a safe space filled with love for a member of the LGBTQIA community who has been disowned by their family?

🥰Will you tell an immigrant they are important and they matter (and they are not vermin or criminals or rapists)

🥰Will you tell the marginalized that THEY matter!

What are tangible things you can do to be LOVE and give love to those around you?


There has been violence already and is a threat of more violence, fear, and anxiety with these results... but that isn’t the only way to rebel against something you disagree with.

Physically be that change... go find a place to serve, start a non-profit. Use your passion for the broken, destitute and disenfranchised to build up something that can serve others well!!!

While the President,congress and even local elections play a large role in our country/county.. the largest impact is going to come from all of our personal decisions proactively to make our country better! Use your convictions and your passions to DO something POSITIVE about the issues you see!!!

This election will come and go, so will Tuesday, and so will the next few months.

Breathe. Don’t let fear and anxiety overwhelm you... it won’t change a thing.

Instead...

Be brave and take a step to change this country and our world for the better! Be kind, be caring to ALL.

Its Breast Cancer month...
LET'S TALK BO***ES....

Breast cancer awareness month is a time to celebrate survivors, remember those who lost their battle and to educate those who may be touched by this disease.

But breast cancer doesn't discriminate. 6 friends {3 of whom had very young children when they battled it. Two lost their battle and Three are survivors and one is still battling it.

So put aside weight loss for a minute and focus on HEALTH. Here are our tips:

#1: get a mammogram.
I need to schedule mine. I am high risk. Is it fun? Heck no!! BUT a little discomfort makes all the difference in early detection.

#2: Do something to support the research and furthering of technology in the battle to rid us of this disease. Run or walk in a Komen race near you. Donate time or $$.

#3: Do self checks. In the shower. Laying down. Get to know the lay of the land of your breasts. Seriously.

#4: Text all your besties NOW and tell them to schedule a mammogram or do a self-check. Keep your sisters accountable.

#5: Educate yourself on the risk factors. See what you can do NOW so that you minimize your risk!

#6. Did you know MEN can get breast cancer too? While it is a very small risk
It's important to understand the risk factors for male breast cancer — particularly because men are not routinely screened for the disease and don't think about the possibility that they'll get it
Risk factors for men:
✔Growing older: This is the biggest factor
✔being overweight,
✔being heavy users of alcohol,
✔A strong family history of breast. cancer or genetic mutations

I’m excited to share that I’ve successfully renewed my certification, marking 10 years of helping women transform their relationship with food!

With just 19 days left before expiration, I decided to take the recertification exam on the spot and scored an 82%—without studying!

This milestone is a reminder of my ongoing commitment to supporting women in managing emotional and stress eating, losing weight without restrictive diets, and ultimately living a balanced, fulfilling life.

𝕋𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙𝕥𝕤 𝕠𝕟 𝕊𝕦𝕔𝕔𝕖𝕤𝕤:

I had a few thoughts over the weekend that I wanted to share with you! ( I know...scary. lol)

❤Focus on the process not the outcomes. We don’t get healthy by stepping on the scale every morning. We get healthy by doing the daily work it takes to get healthy.

❤9 out of 10 times, the biggest limiting factor is our own mind. You can be successful, you are just letting your mind get in the way.

❤The all or nothing approach doesn’t work. You are not on or off the wagon. Accept that improvement takes time and consistency.

❤Start small. The successful person works towards consistency before optimization.

❤Examine your daily habits. Our daily habits make us who we are and have made us the person we are today. Are we where we want to be?

❤Bulk cook. Seriously, this is a lead domino to being healthier.

❤Eliminate excuses. Excuses don’t serve us. Make a decision. Do or do not, but do not try.

❤Stop waiting for Monday. What simple task can move you in the right direction today?

❤Take care of yourself. If you want to have the capacity to take care of others, you need to be selfish first.

❤Surround yourself with supportive people. This is one of the most powerful change agents. Surround yourself with people that lift you up and challenge you to be better.

❤Move every day. Just 5-10 minutes of movement first thing in the morning can be magical.

❤There is no magic pill. At the end of the day, you need to do the work.

This changed my life ...

I want to talk to you about something SO IMPORTANT today that is a big part of keeping up with a health and wellness lifestyle!

This first “something” is:
❤SELF-WORTH …
… and it fuels SO MUCH about your life! It’s all about realizing how important and valuable you are. And also how WORTHY you are of being treated well and living a healthy and fit life.

It’s a little different – and a whole lot more important – than self-esteem.

Here’s a really quick example of what I’m talking about:
Let’s say you try on some shirts at the mall, and you don’t like the way your arms look, or maybe you’re not pleased with your midsection. You might even realize you have low self-esteem in these areas – i.e., they don’t make you feel confident.

❤️But SELF-WORTH lets you know that you are SO MUCH MORE than the state of your arms or midsection.

AND ...

it can even help you recognize that you want something different for yourself.

It can be the spark you need to make certain changes – because you know you are WORTHY of feeling amazing!

❤️ Self worth can help you better deal with your emotions in a constructive way, instead of feeling like food will help fill the void.

It’s the same as when you decide to go after a promotion, or a job or any other goal you want, because you are worth it!

Welcome to my page! My name is Pam Hohlbein. I am a former LSW (licensed Social Worker) with a BA in pyschology and a nutrition coach from Maryland. I created this page for women who want help changing their relationship to food without out dieting and to learn how to love your body as you enter perimenopause and menopause. if you want to eat the foods you love without losing control your are in the right place! If you want to learn how to eat and exercise to help you through each life stage, you are in the right place!

We've all tried the restrictive diets and intense exercise ...and we know it doesn't work and just makes us obsess about food more. We want to enjoy our food! And accept our bodies. We want to eat to nourish ourselves and exercise because it makes us feel better inside and out. And have the added bonus of our clothes fitting better! This is a super supportive community to get questions answered and to give and get support. No promotions allowed without prior permission.
