Throughout the month of November, all babies born receive a purple hat to raise awareness for The Period of Purple Crying.

Although this stage is hard, it’s important to remember that this occurs in NORMAL babies & may be used interchangeably with the term “colic” ♥️

If you think you cannot take the crying anymore, please remember:

⭐️ Put your baby in a safe place
⭐️ It’s okay to walk away and take sometime to collect yourself.
⭐️ Never shake a baby.
⭐️ Remind yourself that this phase will eventually come to an end.
⭐️ Have your baby checked by your health professional if you are concerned.

They come to us with hands on simulation training and discuss how we can be better—for YOU! 💜💜 WOW- this last one was full of so much good information! ♥️

"Everyone at The Birth Place made us feel at home. We had our first daughter there December of 2021 and our second daughter there February 2025. We were sent up to the hospital for an induction after my 37 week appointment because of my blood pressure. After about 24 hours of labor and trying everything they could, I ended up needing a C-section. I was so nervous since I didn't know what to expect, but our nurse, Macy, and the rest of the staff made sure to keep us informed on what was going to happen. I also had Abbi at night and she was so sweet. Every nurse that was there during our stay was a Godsend. Highly, highly recommend The Birth Place!!"

⚠ November is Child Safety Protection Month ⚠

Check out the babies of The Birth Place modeling safety! 🥰

Choosing the appropriate car seat for your little one based on their age and size is important for preventing injuries. One of the many ways The Birth Place promotes the safety of your youngest babies is by conducting Car Seat Testing on infants at risk for oxygen desaturation in a car seat. Babies at risk include:

👶🏼 Babies born at less than 37 weeks gestation
⚖ Babies that weigh less than 2,500 grams at any time during a hospital stay
👩‍⚕️ Babies discharged on an apnea monitor
⚕ Babies that have a medical condition which puts them at risk for apnea or oxygen desaturation in a car seat.
