The Birth Place at St. Anthony Regional Hospital celebrates the first baby born from each of the surrounding counties every year. As a regional provider, we thank these families who choose to deliver their precious ones at St. Anthony.

Kendrix Micha arrived January 1, 2026 at 12:33 AM, weighing 8 pounds and measuring 19 inches long.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has reported high respiratory illness activity in lowa. Since our community is seeing an increase, The Birth Place at St. Anthony has established visitor restrictions as of 12/31/2025. During this time, it is strongly encouraged that visitors should be 18 years and older, however, compassionate exceptions may occur such as a sibling bonding in The Birth Place. All visitors will complete a verbal screening upon entering the unit. Anyone exhibiting signs of illness (cough, congestion, fever, body aches, sore throat, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea) are restricted from entering The Birth Place. This is to ensure the health and safety of our patients, their families, staff and our community.

🍼 Milky Monday 🍼

In 2025, local mothers donated an AMAZING 7️⃣6️⃣5️⃣4️⃣ ounces of breast milk to the Mother’s Milk Bank of Iowa 🤍

⭐️ St. Anthony has been a milk depot for the Mother’s Milk Bank of Iowa for 4️⃣ years & look forward to many more years supporting this organization. ♥️

When you donate milk, your milk will be used for:
💜 Hospitalized premature infants
💛 Infants born with immunological defects
💗 Insufficient milk supply
💙 Adopted infants
💚 Mother illness requiring brief cessession of breast feeding
