1. Dress for success.
2. Plan to arrive early (but not to early). By planning on arriving early, those unintended delays won't cause you worry and extra stress!. It is ok to wait in your vehicle or the lobby prior to your appointment.
3. Manners are important. Be nice to the receptionist or the person that greets you. Many times they will discuss if you were friendly or not to the person in charge.
4. Research the company. By knowing the company and some key points, you can score some extra points in the interview!
5. Something come up and you can't make it? CALL them as soon as you know! Whether you are interested in the position or not. It is respectful and the person that set's appointments will remember your name if you ever apply again for a different position that you really want.
6. It is "old-fashioned" but send a thank you. Whether by email or hand written, it is a great habit to get into and the employer will remember that as well, even if it wasn't a fit this time, you might get a call back for a different position later.
