Just in time for the holidays, the Carroll branch of Van Meter Inc. delivered a $10,000 donation today to St. Anthony Hospital and Foundation, supporting both our upcoming PET/CT Scanner project and the Cancer Center’s Meals of Hope program.

The PET/CT Scanner, planned for installation in June/July 2026, will enhance early cancer detection and diagnosis while also serving as a backup CT scanner — strengthening access to advanced imaging close to home.

Meals of Hope is a donor-funded initiative providing a nutritious, balanced meal to every St. Anthony Cancer Center patient following treatment, because we believe food fuels recovery.

We are deeply grateful to Van Meter Inc. and the Carroll team for their generosity and commitment to advancing cancer care in our community.

Always Look to the Cross...Always St. Anthony

St. Anthony Regional Hospital is a 99-bed facility with a connected 79-bed nursing home. St. Anthony Regional Hospital & Nursing Home is proud of its rich history, which dates back to 1905 when Reverend Joseph Kuemper founded the hospital, with the help of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, from La Crosse, Wisconsin. Today, St. Anthony Regional Hospital, along with its medical staff, serves communities in West Central Iowa.

Patients at St. Anthony Regional Hospital have access to physicians in many specialties, state-of-the-art equipment, and up-to-date treatment procedures. Cost-effective care is provided in an atmosphere which reflects the institution’s Franciscan heritage and the values of the healing ministry of Christ, quality, patient/customer satisfaction, integrity, and high-performance standards. Emphasis is placed on patient services, rehabilitation, education, and wellness, recognizing an individual’s physical, spiritual, and psychosocial needs.

The hospital is a member of the American Hospital Association and the Iowa Hospitals Association and has been designated as one of sixteen regional hospitals in Iowa by the Iowa State Department of Health.
