Join us tomorrow, May 30, for Nise’s Race, held in memory of Catherine Denise Owens Thompson, affectionately known as “Nise” — a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

The race raises awareness of cervical cancer while supporting individuals and families affected by the disease.

Scan the QR code below or visit https://bit.ly/433nGsX and use promo code TANNER5 to receive $5 off registration.

Registration fees will benefit the Tanner Cancer Care Patient Assistance Fund, helping provide financial assistance and support services to cancer patients throughout our community.

Do you know your blood pressure numbers? Knowing them could save your life. 🩺

Here’s what they mean:
✅ Normal: Less than 120/80 mmHg
⚠️Elevated: 120–129 systolic and less than 80 diastolic
🚨 High: 130+ systolic or 80+ diastolic

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, but over time it can increase your risk for heart disease, stroke and kidney problems.

💡 Knowledge is power — and control.

Take a few minutes this week to check your blood pressure, learn your numbers and talk to your provider about your heart health goals. ❤️

No gym? No problem! 💪

Movement doesn’t have to be intense to make a difference. Low-impact activities like walking, swimming or Tai Chi can boost heart health, strengthen joints and melt away stress, all without putting extra strain on your body. 🚶‍♀️🏊

Small steps lead to big results:

✨ A brisk 10-minute walk after lunch

✨ A few laps in the pool

✨ Gentle stretching or Tai Chi to improve balance and calm your mind

Every move matters — and every step is a step towardbetter health. ❤️

As we observe Stress Awareness Month, it’s important to remember that stress impacts more than your thoughts — it affects your entire body. When you’re stressed, your body releases hormones that can raise blood pressure, blood sugar and heart rate. Over time, unmanaged stress can impact your sleep, your mood and even your immune system.

This month, make a promise to yourself: Take 10 minutes each day to unwind and recharge. Try one (or more) of these small but powerful stress
relievers:

💨 Deep breathing – Breathe slow, intentional breaths to calm your
nervous system.
🤸 Stretch or move – Loosen tense muscles and get your blood flowing.
🖊️ Journal or reflect – Clear your thoughts and find perspective.
🌳 Step outside – Spend a few minutes in nature to reset your whole mood.

Your mind and body are deeply connected — caring for one helps the other thrive. ❤️

Join a Tai Chi class to reduce stress, improve balance and find your calm.
