The devastating flooding in Central Texas has claimed numerous lives, including those of our cherished pets. We are appealing to our TPH family to assist by donating items—whether used or new—to aid the animals in need. A donation box will be placed at the front for anyone who wishes to contribute.

Additionally, for those who prefer to donate money for the animals, we will have a jar available. We have reached out to several shelters in the DFW area, including the Fort Worth Animal Shelter, North Texas Shelter, Operation Kindness, and ASPCA. Essential items such as blankets, toys, collars, leashes, and food are required by the shelters we contacted. Both dogs and cats will benefit from these contributions.

The deadline for donations is August 29, 2025. We sincerely appreciate any items you choose to donate, and I am certain that the furry friends will enjoy everything you provide.

My sweet little Chuggie took her last trip to the clinic yesterday. With heavy hearts and sad. tear-filled eyes, we had to let her go after almost 13 years of the most fun-filled doggie times that anyone can imagine. We love you Chuggie-Doo, thank you so much for all that you gave us. Everyone one who met you, loved you, you will forever be in our hearts😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

COAT-A-THON. From Dec. 6th thru Jan. 6th we are teaming up with CleanUpUSA to help homeless pets. Although our main focus is coats and sweaters in all sizes we will accept any type of pet donation, such as blankets, collar, leashes, food, treats, toys, ect.

For every donation made TPH will donate $5 to the North Texas Food Bank!🐾🎄

SKIP THE TABLE SCRAP SNACKS: FOODS NOT TO FEED PETS
Bones: Bones easily splinter and can cause serious health problems (even death) for your pet.
Candy: Particularly chocolate—which is toxic to dogs, cats and ferrets—and any candy containing the toxic sweetener Xylitol.
Citrus and pits: Keep foods containing citric acid away from your pets. Foods such as cherry pits, peach pits and apple seeds contain essential oils that have the ability to cause irritations and even central nervous system depression if a significant amount is ingested.
Coffee: Grounds, beans and chocolate-covered espresso beans.
Eggs (raw)
Grapes and raisins: These can cause kidney problems.
Leaves and stems: From vegetables like tomatoes.
Nuts
Onions
Trash: Pets who engage in trash-digging can accidentally eat foods that are potentially poisonous to them. Keep trash hidden somewhere your pet can't access.
