✨ Meet Dr. Hunter Chastain! ✨

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Hunter Chastain as the new owner and lead dentist at the Dental Center of Carrollton! 🦷💙

Dr Chastain was born and raised in Newnan, GA and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smiles. Dr Chastain is dedicated to building lasting relationships and providing compassionate, high-quality care to our community.

Dr. Chastain is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, reflecting his dedication to continuing education and excellence in dentistry.

Outside the office, Dr. Chastain enjoys life with his wife, their chocolate lab, and their tuxedo cat. They love spending time outdoors, traveling, and staying active in their church and community.

Is iced coffee bad for your teeth? Whether you like yours hot or iced, all coffee is acidic and can lead to tooth sensitivity and increase the risk of cavities if consumed in excess. It can also stain your teeth over time. Many commercially available iced coffees contain added sugars or sweetened syrups, which can promote tooth decay and gum disease if consumed frequently. But don’t worry - we won’t ask you to take away your iced coffee for good!

To minimize potential negative effects on your teeth while enjoying iced coffee:
- Limit consumption of sugary or sweetened varieties.
- Drink through a straw positioned toward the back of your mouth to reduce contact with teeth.
- Rinse your mouth with water after drinking coffee to help neutralize acidity and reduce staining.
- Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing your teeth at least twice a day and flossing daily.
- Visit your dentist regularly for check-ups and professional cleanings.
