Cold + wind + low humidity = compromised skin barrier. That’s why rosacea flares, eczema worsens, and lips crack this time of year. Gentle cleanser. Real moisturizer. Daily sunscreen. Be kind to your skin — especially in the elements. 🌊

Once you start topical minoxidil, consistency matters. Stopping doesn’t make your hair worse — it simply lets it revert back to where it would’ve been if you never started. Just like brushing your teeth to keep your teeth, you use minoxidil to keep your hair. 🪥➡️💇‍♀️ Questions about hair loss or minoxidil? Drop them below 👇

Basal cell skin cancers love the upper lip. Squamous cell skin cancers appear more often on the lower lip. Most of the time, remembering B → S will help keep it straight. Sun protection matters everywhere — even on the lips. 😎🧴

🚨 HUGE sunscreen update! The FDA just proposed a new UV filter — bemotrizinol — that hasn’t been available in the U.S. before. It offers strong broad-spectrum UVA + UVB protection and could lead to better, more effective sunscreens here. This would be the first new sunscreen active ingredient added in over two decades — a major step forward for sun protection and skin cancer prevention. 👩‍⚕️🧴 Have sunscreen questions? For androgenetic hair loss, it’s a solid YAY. It’s one of the few evidence-based treatments that can actually maintain and regrow hair. BUT… it only works if you use it consistently, and you have to keep using it to keep the results. It’s not a one-and-done fix. And remember: Rogaine isn’t the best for every type of hair loss so getting the correct diagnosis really matters. Bottom line: it’s a win… for the right person. Before you spend $$$ on acne “systems,” remember this: you’re paying for convenience and marketing — not special ingredients. Most kits use the same OTC actives you can buy yourself for way less. Working with a board-certified dermatologist can cut through the noise, personalize your routine, and get you results faster. Save time, save money, clear your skin. 💙 👇 Drop your acne questions below!

Filler complications are real, and they’re time-sensitive. I saw a patient who developed an issue after getting filler elsewhere — it happens, and it’s exactly why safety protocols matter. What shocked me was that when she contacted her injector, they told her they didn’t have hyaluronidase in the office. If you’re injecting HA filler, you must have the ability to dissolve it immediately. Not “later,” not “let me order it,” not “we don’t keep that here.” Minutes matter when we’re talking about vascular compromise or compression. Filler is a medical procedure. Any office willing to inject without having emergency tools on hand is unprepared and unsafe. It’s a major red flag — and one you should absolutely walk away from. If you’re getting filler, ask: “Do you have hyaluronidase available in the office?” The answer should be an immediate yes. Hard stop. Share this with someone thinking about getting filler — they need to know this BEFORE their appointment.

Bacteria + sweat = body odor. So if you want less stink, target both. Here are easy, derm-approved tips: 🧼 Use an antibacterial wash (like benzoyl peroxide) on the underarms 🌙 Apply antiperspirant at night so it can fully plug sweat glands Small changes = big difference in odor control. Share this with a friend… you know the one. 😝

You’ve heard it before, but here’s the truth: yes, you need SPF indoors. 💡 UVA rays (the aging rays) go right through windows — in your home, your office, your car. They don’t cause sunburn, so you won’t notice them… but they break down collagen, trigger pigmentation, worsen melasma, and speed up visible aging. Blue light from screens? The research is mixed, but for people with melasma or hyperpigmentation, sunscreen can help protect against dark spots. Bottom line: ✨ If you’re near a window ✨ Driving ✨ Or dealing with pigmentation issues …SPF is non-negotiable. 👉 Want simple, science-backed skin tips? Follow for daily derm advice!
