💙 Respite Resource Wednesday – Nevada PEP: Support for Families and Caregivers
Caring for a loved one with developmental or behavioral needs takes strength, patience, and support. One of Nevada’s best family resources is Nevada PEP (Parents Empowering Parents) — a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families of children with disabilities and special needs.
Nevada PEP provides:
🔹 Parent training and peer support groups
🔹 IEP and school advocacy assistance
🔹 Youth and family wellness programs
🔹 One-on-one guidance connecting families to community services
Their mission is to empower families to be their child’s best advocate and to help them navigate systems with confidence. 🌟

🌿 Respite Motivational Monday – Quiet Progress, Big Impact
Progress doesn’t always happen in big, noticeable ways. Sometimes, it’s found in quiet moments — a small success, a gentle reminder, or the simple act of showing up.
At EVCH Respite, we see progress every day in the families we serve and the caregivers who give their time, patience, and compassion. Whether it’s building trust, helping someone feel seen, or creating a safe space for connection, these moments matter. 💚
This week, take a moment to reflect on your own growth — even the small steps. They all lead somewhere meaningful. ✨

Fun Fact Friday:
Did you know… laughter can literally reduce stress hormones? 😄
When you laugh, your body releases endorphins, improves circulation, and relaxes your muscles for up to 45 minutes afterward.
So whether it’s a funny movie, a silly moment, or a shared joke — finding something that makes you giggle is actually good for your health.
Here’s your reminder to laugh a little today! 💚✨
