We are so proud to announce Paul as our 2024-2025 Volunteer of the Year! Congratulations, Paul! We are so lucky to have you! Thank you for being such a gift to share!

When asked why he volunteers for hospice, Paul shared a great story.

"I have come close to losing my life 5 times. The last time I was hiking, I ran out of water. I told God, If I am going to survive, it's up to you. Then a voice told me, clear as a bell, Paul, walk a little further. I listened to that voice and was led to a hidden hole full of cold, lifesaving water. Once I made it home safely, I called my mom, who told me that she heard that I had some trouble on my hike. I asked her how she knew that because I hadn't told anyone, and she said that Aunt Stella had told her. Aunt Stell had gone to heaven 40 years ago. I have serious IOUs to make up for, so I volunteer to do good while I am still here. It's never too late to be the good guy."

Our volunteers go above and beyond to share and spread love. Simple acts of kindness have long-lasting effects. Writing a simple card, making a phone call, asking questions, and sharing stories. These things may seem small, but for a hospice patient and their family, they are enormous and have the ability to bring great joy. Thank you to our team of volunteers who share their time and hearts with the patients they serve. You are so appreciated!
