Recap of tonight’s Integration Group.

1. Your external environment mirrors your internal experience.
Time to clean it up, go external and clean up the clutter of your environment. As you do that, notice how good it feels to “let stuff go” internally and externally

2. Acute stress is not the same as trauma, dealing with acute stress immediately can prevent long term trauma (unprocessed negative experiences and emotions). Soothing your nervous system is key. “I am safe, I am calm, there are no tigers chasing me, although this is stressful I’m not going to die”. Using mantra, bi lateral stimulation (walking, rocking patting opposite shoulders, repeating safe and calm mantras while taking deep slow breaths)

3. We all have so many “spoons” in a day. Do things that increase your spoons as often as you can.

4. We all are battling “the law of opposing forces” the good decisions that require effort and equal positive long term outcomes or the easy decisions that offer comfort but negative outcomes. Choose wisely and know that it’s normal, be easy on yourself and make the goal of doing the thing that requires more effort at least 70% of the time.
