There are seasons of life that do not look meaningful while you’re inside of them. They feel slow. Confusing. Quiet. Sometimes they even feel lonely. But not every important chapter arrives loudly. Some of the biggest shifts happen in the background while you are simply trying to make it through the day.

Later, you look back and realize those were the moments teaching you discernment, resilience, boundaries, softness, strength. Those were the seasons slowly pulling you away from who you had to be and closer to who you actually are.

Not every transformation announces itself while it’s happening.

Final thoughts on our beautiful group tonight…
It’s such an interesting journey being alive.
We get to be, see, do, have, love so many people, places and things, what a lovely privilege.
No matter how many times you’ve participated, it’s still not who YOU are, it’s how you’ve spent time and that’s wonderful, YOU are limitless, boundless and unmeasurable.
You’re greatest attributes are the little things, the time you answered the phone for a friend in need, how you’re heart has grown and WHO you are to the people that love you and that you love (animals included).
We only have about 80ish years, seems like a lot but really it’s the perfect amount…do, be, see, give, love, enjoy the moments, don’t identify with them, be the grateful observer, seeing this as a lovely gift to be cherished but not clung to.
You will take many forms, have many loves (people, places and things) you’ll enjoy things at different levels, you’ll dread things too.
I know I often push you guys past your old limits, it’s always with love. I’m so proud and honored to be on this journey with you all. You’re amazing! Beyond our limited words and constructs! You are worthy, valuable and precious, you belong here despite what you’re stinking thinking says.

There is something exhausting about spending years shaping yourself around other people’s comfort. Saying yes when you want to say no. Softening your feelings so nobody feels challenged. Carrying the pressure of being liked, understood, easy, agreeable.

Eventually you reach a point where pretending costs more than honesty.

And I think that is when real growth begins. Not when you become harder or colder, but when you stop abandoning yourself just to maintain connection. The people who truly care for you may not agree with every part of you, but they will not require you to disappear in order to stay close to them.

Strength looks very different once you’ve lived through enough life.

It is not always loud, confident, or obvious. Sometimes it looks like continuing to show up while carrying things nobody else can see. Sometimes it is getting through a season that quietly changed you without losing your softness in the process.

I think a lot of the strongest people become that way slowly. Through disappointment. Through responsibility. Through learning how to hold themselves together on days they really wanted to fall apart.

And maybe that is why real strength often feels so quiet when you are around it.
