NAMI Western Nevada was thrilled to join the community at Carson City’s Sheriff’s Night Out with our 360 Photo Booth 🎉

We were proud to be part of this fun and family-friendly evening, connecting with local residents, sharing resources, and raising awareness about mental health.

Our 360 booth brought smiles, laughter, and a unique way for folks to engage with us and learn more about the support services we offer.

Thank you to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office for hosting such a positive event that brings the community together and supports safety, wellness, and connection.

We look forward to continuing to build strong relationships and break the stigma around mental health—one outreach event at a time.

LEAP Training is BACK at NAMI Western Nevada!

LEAP Training (Listen • Empathize • Agree • Partner) with powerful, evidence-based tools to build trust and support recovery for individuals living with serious mental illness and anosognosia (when someone doesn’t realize they’re ill).

Based on the groundbreaking book “I Am Not Sick, I Don’t Need Help!” by Dr. Xavier Amador, this training teaches proven communication strategies that help loved ones accept treatment and move toward recovery.

NAMI Western Nevada was proud to have our Outreach Coordinator, Jewels Crable, tabling at the Winnemucca Rodeo this past weekend!

With a great mix of teens, adults, and families in attendance, it was an amazing opportunity to connect with the community.

Jewels had some heartfelt conversations about the mental health challenges friends and loved ones are facing - and shared resources and support options that can make a real difference.
