This has been a true labor of love to see this new behavior health center make it to the community. A few facts of why this is so important...
✴ This was created from 💯 federal funds. No state or local funds were used.
✴ This adds to our workforce development. We're building leaders!
✴ Nevada is ranked 49th in spending for mental health services. This created a NEW center in 2 rural Nevada communities. We want to move Nv ....we don't like last place!
✴ Nevada is last in spending for youth mental health services. Douglas' center focuses on youth. Again...we don't like last place.
✴The CCBHC model is a comprehensive approach to care. We care about all of you ❤

Serving rural communities is more than what your bank account looks like at the end of the day. It's the human capital that's invested into the community. The Dow's have been a critical infrastructure into rural Nevada for so many lives. It takes good people such as them and their team to build healthcare systems to support frontier communities.

As a I would get so excited seeing a cow grazing in the fields. My perception they were out there chillin in the fields, happy pets of all these farmers. Growing up i grew to understand the complexity of farm life. I dont pretend to understand still all the wonderful gifts farming has to give. But I learned more about its impact on work force development. increasing our trades, nutrition. and engineering fields. I learned to look at farming from a different lens than how I first did as a kid. Im always wanting to learn how it fits with our health to improve our community.

This is how we need to look at mental health and substance use treatment. Lets look at how we can change our views to bring workforce development to those who are working their way through mental health and substance use.

We are going to be bring more supports to our rural communities and we want your new visions.
