It's Read Across America Week! Peep this sweet moment from our Academy program this week.

Did you know?
- 90% of brain development happens before age 5.
- Early language exposure literally shapes neural pathways for learning.
- By age 3, children from language-rich homes hear millions more words than children with limited exposure (often referred to as the “word gap”).
- Children who are read to regularly in the first 5 years have significantly stronger vocabulary, comprehension, and school readiness skills.
- Children whose parents read to them at least 3 times per week score significantly higher in literacy and cognitive testing.
- Homes with 100+ books are strongly associated with higher academic achievement, even controlling for income.

Reading aloud builds:
• Vocabulary
• Emotional intelligence
• Attention span
• Parent-child bonding

Early literacy is not just about books; it’s about future opportunity, confidence, and stability.

Help us show some appreciation to 2 amazing ladies and team members! Melissa and Tricia are celebrating 4 years on staff. They currently serve as our Back Office Coordinators in our Academy program aka "Window Ministry" .
