May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a reminder that emotional well-being is essential at every stage of life. 💚🐾

In senior living communities, therapy dogs can make a lasting impact on mental and emotional health. Their presence helps reduce anxiety, ease loneliness, encourage conversation, and provide comfort in ways words sometimes cannot.

For many seniors, time spent with a therapy dog brings a sense of calm, connection, and purpose. These special visits can brighten moods, spark memories, and create meaningful social interactions that support overall wellness.

Small moments — a wagging tail, a gentle cuddle, a familiar routine — can have a powerful effect on mental health.

Because caring for seniors means caring for both the body and the mind. 💜

Today was paws-itively special at Carver Ridge! 🐾💜

We were thrilled to welcome our very first visit from a trained therapy dog, Reba, a beautiful 2 year old English Mastiff. The smiles said it all. Residents enjoyed cuddles, conversations, laughter, and the calming comfort that only a furry friend can bring.

Therapy animals have such a wonderful way of brightening spirits and creating meaningful moments, and we’re already looking forward to the next visit!

Thank you to Curtis, the owner of Reba for sharing your time, kindness, and wagging tails with us today. 🐶✨
