Dermaplaning is a minimally invasive procedure
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a blade to exfoliate the skin by removing dead skin cells and fine facial hair (vellus hair). It results in a smoother, brighter complexion and can improve the absorption of skincare products and the application of makeup.
How it works:
A sterile surgical scalpel is used to gently scrape away the outermost layer of skin (epidermis).
This removes dead skin cells, which can clog pores and cause dullness.
It also removes vellus hair, often referred to as “peach fuzz,” which can trap dead skin and makeup.
Benefits:
Exfoliation: Dermaplaning is an effective form of mechanical exfoliation, revealing fresher, brighter skin.
Hair removal: It removes fine facial hair, which can trap dead skin and makeup.
Improved product absorption: By removing the top layer of skin, skincare products can be better absorbed.
Enhanced makeup application: Makeup can go on more smoothly and evenly after dermaplaning.
Radiant complexion: Many people report a more radiant, glowing complexion after dermaplaning.
