Krippa Family Psychological & Wellness Services’ Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adolescents across North Carolina—now enrolling and meeting afterschool at 4:00 PM. Groups run by Dr. Sarah Spade

Who it’s for

Teens (ages 11–18 (if still in High School) experiencing:

Anxiety, depression, or mood changes

School avoidance or social stress

Emotion regulation challenges, self-esteem concerns, or family conflict

Need for more than once-weekly therapy—without inpatient care

Afterschool schedule at 4:00 PM to reduce school disruption

Evidence-based care: DBT-informed skills (mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness) CBT, Movement

Group therapy + individual support to build insight and real-life coping

Family involvement: parent DBT Skills group and regular check-ins to strengthen home routines

Care coordination with existing therapists, schools, and medical providers

Safety planning & crisis navigation with clear communication pathways

Krippa Family Psychological is teaming up with Healing Hearts Healing Minds to bring additional mental health services to the triangle to prevent trends su***de. Healing Hearts Healing Minds is a 501(c)3 and is currently seeking donations to help build a much needed teen su***de prevention program. Donations are tax deductible. Please share with anyone who might be able to make a much needed donation. Su***de is the second leading cause of death for teens.

Our teen IOP has been serving triangle families for almost 3 years. We will be counting down to our third anniversary in May. Our first announcement Mark your calendars May 17 10:00-11:30 we will be holding our Open house. Come out and visit, have breakfast with us, learn about our program, and the great work we are doing. Krippa Family Psychological is adding to our team. We are hiring for our new Cornelius location. We are looking for a child/teen clinician to work in our group practice and a clinician to work in our Adolescent intensive outpatient program. The Ideal candidates can work with children and teens. We are looking for our next rockstars. Our ideal candidate is authentic, connects well with children and teens, and has a sense of humor. Must be willing and able to run group therapy sessions. Training in play therapy, dbt or willingness to learn is required.
Must value being a part of our supportive office culture. Must hold an active license to practice in NC and have the clinical competence to maintain a caseload independently and consistently.
This position is a full-time position requiring 25 clinical hours per week. Must be available for weekly team meeting and group supervision Wednesdays 12:00 pm-1:00 pm
Must have self-insight, be open to feedback and be willing to continue to hone and improve clinical skills. Must be willing to seek support and supervision as needed. Attendance at networking events and providing occasional off-site training is encouraged but never required.
Must have a current niche or specialization area in working with children or teens and have a work history that shows competency in child or teen treatment. Benefits offered after full-time status is achieved. Salary $72-$85 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, training stipends and in-house trainings, 401k match after 12 months.
