Ya'll we have one week of Mercury retro left! Now is the time to do shadow work on the things that keep popping up.

It is unhealthy to push feelings/impulses aside. Be present with the thing that come up. Mercury retrograde is all about going inside and doing the *inner work* and you can't do that when you don't acknowledge, work through, and reintegrate those thoughts feelings and impulses.

Saturn Direct October 10th at 10:17PM EST.

After about four and a half months in retrograde Saturn will finally be letting up on all the delays, hardships, chronic health issues, and challenges to our forward movement. If life has been very difficult over the past few weeks expect things to shift over the next few weeks. Saturn will still be on the same degree it stationed at for a week or two but during that time you should see your energy levels increase, things start to fall in place, and why that “loss” was not a “loss” at all – just something that wasn’t for you or you weren’t ready for.

So enjoy this weekend and breathe a sigh of relief. The difficult times are about to pass.

New moon October 6, 2021.

So this one is interesting. We have a new moon stellium with Mars in perfect conjunction to the new moon at 13degrees Libra. This brings passion, action, and a possibility for accidents to the new moon. The possibility for accidents is further implicated as the fixed star Algorab sits at 13degrees Libra as well. Algorab has a very bad reputation. Algorab is a planet when aspected causes accidents and injuries that are hard to avoid. This star is also associated with uprisings and terrorism. To make the propensity for accidents and sudden uprisings/changes even greater Uranus, the planet of revolution, is quincux the new moon stellium. Quincux energy pushes one to action that and that push is not easily, or ever, settled. So, I’m hoping nothing really bad happens but boy, is it in the air on the 6th.
In better news Venus will almost be out of Scorpio (28degrees) which should help people not be so stuck on their ex’s this mercury retrograde. Remember, don’t text your ex, don’t cut your bangs, and don’t move on Mercury retrograde.
Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto will be aspecting Mercury, and with all of them being retrograde it could be a good time to have day to yourself. A nice soft retreat away from the chaos of the world around us. I’d choose that day over what could be.
The new moon stellium isn’t all doom and gloom. The energies of this new moon could also be used to break out of any thing you feel unjustly bound or by.

Right: Seven of Swords – Make sure that someone doesn’t do something underhanded to you this week or don’t do it yourself. The seven of swords shows someone who has stolen five swords, not been caught, and looks back at the two remaining swords thinking, “Eh, I got away with it and I’ll be back for you later”. Deviousness is at hand and things may not be what they seem. Trust your gut on this one because someone is trying to trick your mind. Also this could play out personally with self sabotage, so make sure everything is what it seems.

Full Moon in Cancer on Tuesday, Dec. 29th at 10:28pm EST.

So Decembers last full moon is going to go out with a bang.

Mars is still making moves away from Pluto but the square's orb is 2degress and very relevent at this time. There will be enhanced ambition and evolution and a deadset/headstrong energy.

This however is overshadowed by South Node/Venus in Sagittarius making a square to Neptune in Pisces. Neptune has been feeling hella at home in Pisces thinning the collective veil and making witchcraft, tarot, and the occult so mainstream. Neptune can also be very deluding so watch out and make sure those feels are real and you're not just chasing phantoms. The square makes this fantasty/reality battle a big possibility for the next few days going into the new year. I would also say with the south node conj venus expect the past to come back. Past loves maybe not from this life - but lives past.

The other thing that stands out about this chart is Uranus aspecting both the sun and moon. Trine to the sun and s*xtile the moon by 2deg. It's not the tightest orb but its a main focal point of energy for this night so I think the volatility is going to be noticable. Uranus to me is like a planet of genius and madness and intensity and sudden changes. It's much like a lightning bolt.

Imagine if you will a mad genius who has built an electrical contraption of their wildest dreams - It's idle right now, it's never been started, and it needs to get switched on. On one hand switching it on could work out and you'd get your greatest reality. On the other hand this is some really bleeding edge science/electricity work and if I switch it on the whole lab could blow. Uranus is the switch that lets the flow in for good or ill. It is instant. It is electric. It is the mad genius.

And Uranus is going to be aspecting the sun and the moon with a decently tight orb. So please make sure you don't do anything too dumb over the next few days. Accidents could happen though it's not as dangerous as mars/uranus energy. Egoic work is favored over subconscious work at this time but that's just due to the uranus trine (easy natural and effortless flow) sun vs uranus s*xtile (needs a push to get going) moon.

So all in all... watch out for lovers from the past. Make sure people are who you think they are. Keep the passion for evolution going. Be present as Uranus can switch (see what I did there) things up at a moments notice for good or ill.

Weekly Tarot Reveal

1. The Moon / Apache Tear

The moons shine is dimmer than the sun but guides us through dark times. The moon is your unconscious mind, illusions, anxieties or fears. Saturn Exiting Capricorn and the power of the 29th (Anaretic) degree:
In astrology a sign starts at 0 degrees and ends at 29 degrees. Any planets at 0-1 degree signify beginnings and a new journey where as 29 is where we wrap up the lessons and the journey ends. Saturn has been in it’s home sign of Capricorn for roughly 2.5 years. Saturn in Capricorn is all about restrictions and using them to reach heights. This is where the goat aspect of Saturn/Capricorn comes into play. Where you see a wall Saturn sees perfect footholds if you just set yourself up and do it right.
When Saturn entered Capricorn it began a new chapter of learning in our lives. What restrictions do we have to live in to be our best selves? What forms of conscious suffering do we need to undergo to have lasting joy and peace? In my years of working with others and studying myself I have found that Saturn tends to repeat the same lessons for us until we get them and even then continues to test us and build us up. If you’ve gone through your Saturn return you most likely know what daddy Saturn was wanting you to continue practicing and build on. If not, a simple search through the ephemeris would show dates and times Saturn was heavily influencing you and therefore the important lessons for you to learn.
Saturn hit 29degrees of Capricorn on the 8th of December and will be chillin there until the 18th of December. This is the final where you either learned your lessons and get to implement them fully or get dragged. Saturn is literally pass/fail. So even if Saturn has been dragging you but you're implementing your knowledge and lessons – keep going and keep doing the right thing. Even if you have to crawl through s**t to get through this transit you’ll come out clean on the other side.

The Grand Conjunction – What’s the big deal?
On December 21st Jupiter and Saturn will be conjunct at 0degrees Aquarius. This is the first time in over 400 years (except for 40 years ago when Saturn and Jupiter were conjunct in Libra, which is a part of the cycle and a tell for the next element of the cycle) that Jupiter and Saturn have been conjunct in something other than an earth sign. But what does it mean? Why is it so important?
So not only is this conjunction happening in an air sign (the energies are mental, fast, and indifferent to emotion) but it’s happening in Aquarius, an Air sign ruled by Uranus and the planet of sudden changes, revolutions and upheavals. This conjunction also falls at 0degrees – a critical degree and a degree of new ventures. Normally when 0-1degrees shows up in someone's natal chart they are just beginning the task of learning the lessons of that sign with a planet. Ex. I knew someone with their sun at 1deg Pisces. And boy were they making those good ‘ol Piscean mistakes – substance abuse, escapism, and general breakdowns when their delusions and reality collided. But they learned FAST and rarely made the same mistakes twice. They were just beginning the journey of learning how to navigate Piscean energies.
I digress. So what’s the big deal about the conjunction? If you look at the planetary spheres the furthest sphere is Saturn. This is where an idea first comes into our reality for manifestation. The next sphere is Jupiter. Once Saturn has set the boundaries of what can be created Jupiter’s job is to expand as far as it can within that sphere. But here’s the deal – at this point BOTH of them are working at full capacity and both happen at the SAME time. Even better – the third furthest sphere is Mars… which Mars is in Aries and working at full capacity. So you’re already almost halfway through the spheres of creation and everything is strong and working at full capacity. If you birth anything now it will carry the ability to bring those three spheres in VERY quickly. The 21st is also Solstice and the beginning of a new year – things only brighten from there.
So that’s why this is such an important time – it is literally one of the biggest windows of creation and change that will happen in years. Write some intentions and burn em. Do a ritual. Start a project. But seriously don’t pass this up. The energies are electrifying.

Scorpio is ruled by Mars/Pluto and the element of water. The Martian influence on Scorpio gives their energy a more firey and actionable vibe than other water signs. The Plutonic influence gives Scorpios the ability to die and be reborn a million times as well as an affinity for death and everything considered more "dark". Scorpio rules the 8th house which pertains to death, taxes, s*x, and anything taboo. The 8th house also rules other peoples energy and/or money. Scorpio is a unique sign as it has three different stages, the scorpion, the eagle, and the phoenix.
The scorpion is the first stage of a Scorpio. Scorpions are ruled by their basal emotions and have little self awareness or self control. They’re very reactive to perceived threats and will strike anything at a moments notice. To a scorpion all of these fights are a fight to the death. Unfortunately these attacks are poisonous and destructive not only to the target but to the Scorpion as well. On the rare occasion a scorpion is slighted and chooses not to strike they will hold on to that grudge forever. At this level the Scorpio hasn’t explored their depths or really gotten in touch with themselves - they're absent and reactive. Luckily (?) for scorpions they can be so self destructive that their actions give them a conscious shock which pushes them to really evaluate themselves.
A self aware Scorpio is an Eagle through and through. Eagles have explored their depths and by doing so have found their height – somewhere freely soaring above everything. Eagles know their power. They have mastered and calmed their emotions and by doing so they have a crystal clear awareness of what’s going on in the world below them. They still judge. They still manipulate. They still attack. But, everything is calculated and not a be all end all like in their Scorpion stage. On a positive note - Eagles can also use their emotional awareness to continue to heal themselves and others. When the Eagle continually takes on this role of being a healing force for themselves and others they become a Phoenix.
The Phoenix is the fully actualized stage of Scorpio. They’ve mastered themselves, soared to their own heights, and have died and been reborn too many times to count. Phoenixes are masters of the death and rebirth cycle. They realize the invincibility of their essence and they understand the amazing changes others are capable of as they have been there themselves. They’ve let go of their petty attachments. Their keen observation talents are not only used to keep them safe and balanced but to see where others also need help. At this stage Scorpios are some of the best friends one can have. They are clear headed, emotionally in touch, extremely perceptive, and want the best for you. Also at this stage Scorpios know exactly what they want/need and what they don’t. So if they FWU they FWU. If they don’t - they don’t. They're out there soaring - continually dying and being reborn yet steadily on the up and up.

Sentence: Carving oneself out with every stroke of the whip, and feeling so broken that it makes no difference to be whole.

Dark Mirror is an amazing set of cards for shadow work. It essentially gives you a picture of the shadow part you need to face, a moon phase to focus on, and a stage of grief to associate the feelings with. It also includes a sentence to describe how we get to embodying the title (in this case, blinded to pain), and then a brief paragraph about how this relates to everyday life.

I really like this card because it asks us were we have cut ourselves away or allowed ourselves to be harmed. And further it asks if we're blinded to it. In our lives we repeat cycles of self abuse that sometimes we are not even aware of. The initial shock of trauma has worn off long ago and the lump in our throat, sinking feeling in our stomach, and frozen movement is now normal. Shutting down and cutting ourselves down is now an automatic reaction instead of a calculated response. This reaction has created a blindness to how we are truly doing.

I really like how this book says "carving oneself out with every stroke of the whip". I think this brings the second step to the work. What have we created with all that self abuse? Is the abuse even worth it and why do we continue that cycle? What do we *really* want and does abuse have to be a part of getting it? And if not, what can we do to get out of those negative cycles?

Anyway, what pain have you been ignoring/blinded to that needs to come up today and be cleared? Where have you cut yourself away/denied your feelings/disrespected yourself for others because you wanted something and didn't think you could get it while being whole?

Also. Love yourself. Lots of us have been through s**t where we had to act certain ways for survival. I get it and respect it. I've been there. I just hope that you can love that beautiful version of yourself that got you through those situations and grow from the experience.

The seven of swords normally is a card that indicates deception, someone stealing from you, or someone pulling a fast one. Seven of swords can also signify that you may have to deceive, pull a fast one, or cut corners at this time. As such it asks the querent where they are putting their energies because there's not enough to go around. And that's okay right now. In a larger scope mars is retrograde and telling us to look at where our energies are being placed as well as to turn our energies inward and focus on doing what we are capable of. Yes, we may have to cut corners at this time and pull a fast one at this time, but good enough is good enough.
