Hello there! 👋🏾

I work with busy moms and professional women (ages 25-50) living in NC and WI who are eager to address and treat anxiety, depression, OCD, and/or trauma. My main areas of interest are the effects of the immigrant experience and biculturalism on mental health and wellness, as well as the everyday demands of being a woman in today’s face paced world. I also am well versed in q***r, transgender, and non-binary needs in treatment. My clients are looking for results in therapy and oftentimes utilize my EMDR 90 minute intensive sessions to assist them with making progress they are happy with.

As a woman of color, I provide a unique cultural lens through which I provide therapy. I utilize EMDR therapy and other evidenced based trauma treatments to create a treatment plan that works for you. Therapy with me provides clients with a culturally sensitive experience while also using evidenced based interventions.

As a therapist, my goal is to break barriers in mental health treatment and improve outcomes for people who may have felt misunderstood or uncomfortable in expressing their mental health needs.

As, a regular everyday person, I love reading, crafting , being outside, yoga, and being a mom. I am the daughter of South Indian immigrants and my hometown of Racine, WI is famous for the best Kringle in the country; and I will never pass up a good batch of cheese curds. 😋

I'm excited to be able to offer these worksheet downloads for ADHD management and/or stress management. I know first hand from my client experiences how much resources like these are needed and am hoping that in the coming months I will have more resources for anxiety, trauma, autism, and bicultural identity exploration.

Sleep is important, but it’s especially important for marginalized communities!

Things that impact good sleep:
▪️ Poor routine
▪️ Too much “screen time”
▪️ Alcohol
▪️ Poor diet

Things that make sleep good:
▪️ Turning off devices/TV at least one hour before bed
▪️ Having a mindful bedtime routine with relaxing activities
▪️ Sleeping in a dark room
▪️ Avoiding heavy alcohol and/or drug use.

It’s so simple to get pointed in the right direction for an evaluation. Your doctor can provide you with a referral to a psychologist or other behavioral healthcare provider who can provide you with a full evaluation.

☝🏽Reminder- always check with your insurance company first to see what your coverage is, unless you choose to pay out of pocket!

Hello 👋🏾 I have some new followers so I’m going to introduce myself!

My name is Meena and I’m a therapist, coach and wellness educator and advocate. My passion is serving women of color, the q***r and trans communities, and neurodivergent folx.

I’m a second gen Indian American living in the Midwest and I absolutely love my Desi clients. I “click” the most with my bicultural crowd.

I’m obsessed with my dogs and cat. I read, crochet, and knit constantly. I love being a mom and wife… and my friends are some pretty awesome humans.
