The Body Mechanic specializes in servicing and repairing the Human Machine. Our fitness classes and Massage Therapy will destress and detoxify your body, and help you to resist injury. Our signature class is Dynamic Power Training which offers student an opportunity to experience a Power Yoga Fusion class which has hybrid elements of martial arts, functional training and deep breathing exercises. We have learned that the key to injury recovery, and prevention, is full range of motion movement combined with deep breathing, followed by deep massage therapy. This idea is what lead to the development of our Strength Stretching Massage Therapy. These components will enable your body to heal itself, while training your brain to relax, ridding you of chronic pain and tension. Our sessions are a unique synthesis of sports massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point, and physical fitness training.

Triple-M’s push-ups are incredible!! Elbows out, optimizing chest, shoulder and Abdominal engagement👍🏾. I only wish I had video of how her push-ups used to look 4 years ago😂. The take away here is how hard she obviously works. And it is paying off!💪🏾

I broke my little toe yesterday…and couldn’t be happier😎. As I’ve told a few of you already, now you get to watch me use my own methods to make a full (and quick) recovery. This morning’s pain was much worse than yesterday’s. I’ve been working on it a lot, just as I would have you do. No power walking for me for…well, it won’t be that long😂. I’ll keep you posted

This is the best I have felt after the first 24 hours of fasting. I am amazed at how my body changes have matched my predictions, based upon all that I have learned, especially in the past 18 months. I had a very strong aerobic and strength training session. So much more energy! Now passive stretching as I write this. I want to encourage each of you that is doing this month’s challenge to push as far as you can. Your body will change. At first, you experience energy drop in the 24-48 hour window, because your body doesn’t have the flexibility to switch energy sources smoothly. But after doing the long fast a couple times, it gets pretty freaking cool. The main point, give your body as much time as you can to allow it to clean itself. A day is great; 2 days is better; 3 days is even better. When your body can get rid of all the accumulated toxic waste, your systems function so much better as a result. All you have to do is be willing to push thr some discomfort. It gets easier as you get healthier and more resilient👍🏾💪🏾👊🏾

I can’t overemphasize the importance of CONSISTENCY. It isn’t all that difficult to put forth effort here and there, when the sun is shining and you feel good. The unique concept is to decide what you want and put in the work day in and day out, to sacrifice what you want in the short term for what you want long term. It would be easy for me to not wake up early and get to work investing in my health. After all, I am training hard all alone when it is dark outside and most everyone else is still in bed. I sacrifice eating my favorite foods because I have even bigger and more important long term health goals. I push hard so that I can enjoy my downtime.

Just about to wrap up my 55 hour Cinco de Mayo fast. Started at 5:55am and ending at 12:55pm. 2 days, 7 hours. And I feel great! My body is so fat adapted that I could literally go much longer. I am stopping now because Kimberly and I are headed to the beach, and she is waiting for me. Now it is a moral imperative that I switch to “junk food” mode😎. But first, I need to eat my Break-Fast. Two boiled eggs, followed later with chicken breasts. Btw, notice my acetone level from first thing this morning. I was in very deep ketosis. I measured my BGL and BHB at the studio. These numbers confirm just how fat adapted I am, after 9 months of TREating myself. This means my body and brain easily switch from glucose to burning fat and ketones for fuel. I decided to check my breath acetone one more time before eating…84ppm! This was successful 💪🏾👍🏾👊🏾
