💜🩶🤍October 19-25th is Asexual Awareness Week! 💜🩶🤍

The asexual community encompasses many diverse identities such as asexuality, aromanticism, demisexuality, and grey-asexuality. This is a spectrum of differences in sexual or romantic attraction, typically marked by little or no sexual attractions to others (or romantic), or those who express their sexuality in very specific ways contingent on a strong emotional connection. The term “Ace” has been widely used by the community to express their identity, and those identifying as ace often still seek fulfilling emotional relationships with others in their lives, and can find joy in long term partnerships of many kinds. This community has been often overshadowed and overlooked in discussions about sexuality and identity, so this week we work to bring awareness and celebrate and affirm their validity!

🦋Happy Bisexual Visibility Day! 🦋

Bisexual Visibility Day seeks to bring awareness and visibility to those identifying as bi+ (bisexual, pansexual, fluid, no label, q***r, etc.).

In a 2021 Gallup Poll, more than half of LGBTQIA Americans, 57%, indicated they identify as bisexual. That percentage translates to 4.0% of all U.S. adults.

Bisexuality is valid and beautiful, and we are here to celebrate the diversity of this part of our community, and acknowledge the common challenges of erasure and discrimination they have faced. ❤️
