March is Women’s History Month! A time to honor the strength, resilience, and impact of women throughout history and in our everyday lives.

At Butterfly Family Center, we see firsthand the courage of women who show up for their families, their communities, and themselves even while carrying so much.

We want to give a special thank you to our incredible women clinicians. Your compassion, leadership, and dedication to mental health make a lasting difference in the lives of children, families, and our community every single day.

This month, we celebrate the women who lead, nurture, advocate, heal, and break generational cycles. And we remind every woman:

Marzo es el Mes de la Historia de la Mujer un tiempo para honrar la fortaleza, resiliencia e impacto de las mujeres a lo largo de la historia y en nuestra vida diaria.

En Butterfly Family Center, vemos de primera mano el valor de las mujeres que se presentan cada día por sus familias, sus comunidades y por ellas mismas aun cuando llevan tanto sobre sus hombros.

🎉 BIG NEWS, CARY! 🎉

🦋 Butterfly Family Center, multicultural mental health and family wellness, is thrilled to announce the opening of our NEW Cary office location! 🦋

We’ve expanded within the same building and are now proudly located on the FIRST FLOOR, offering a larger space with more offices so we can better serve our community. This expansion allows us to provide more efficient, timely, and accessible mental health therapy services for the families who need us most.

💙 We are currently accepting new clients and working diligently to ensure services begin as quickly as possible, because we understand that when someone is in crisis, waiting for help is not an option.

At Butterfly Family Center, our mission remains the same:
“Helping the community, one family at a time.”

Butterfly Family Center is growing, and we’re excited to share that we’ve moved to the first floor of our building 🦋

We will begin seeing clients in our new space starting this coming Monday, 01/05/2026.

This move allows us to provide an even more welcoming and accessible environment for our clients and families. We look forward to seeing you in our new space!

We understand that many families in our community are feeling scared and uncertain due to the recent ICE activity in North Carolina. At Butterfly Family Center, the safety and well-being of our clients will always come first.

We want to remind everyone that our services are a safe space.
We do not share client information with immigration authorities, and immigration status does not affect your ability to receive care.

To support families during this time, we continue to offer:
• Confidential therapy services
• Virtual sessions for anyone who prefers to stay home
• Flexible scheduling to help reduce stress

“My heritage is foundational as to why I am a clinician. My cultural ties enable me to connect and access communities that are often apprehensive of mental health services and providers. This month, we celebrate not only Hispanic heritage in our community but also within our own team. 💛

One of our amazing clinicians, Marisol Garcia, LCSWA, shares what her culture means to her as a mental health professional:

"We all carry resilience and strength, even when it's hard to see. In therapy, we honor every part of your story, your culture, and who you are. There is so much healing and empowerment when we are allowed to show up as our authentic selves."

Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a powerful reminder of resilience, freedom, and progress. On June 19, 1865 more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas finally received word of their freedom.

This day is not just about history. It’s about the ongoing pursuit of justice, equity, and unity.

🖤❤️💚 Let’s continue to honor the legacy of those who fought for freedom and those who are still fighting for equality today.
