Today, on Valentine’s Day, my husband and I are celebrating more than just our love for each other. We’re celebrating resilience, companionship, and the incredible journey we’ve embarked on together. Here we are, side by side in the transplant clinic for my first kidney transplant follow-up, reminding us that our love transcends physical barriers and connects us in the deepest spiritual realms. Cheers to love in all its forms, and to the unwavering support of my amazing husband. Happy Valentine’s Day!

I was diagnosed with CKD at the age of 21 years old secondary to food poisoning. During the time of my diagnosis, I was determined, I will never develop diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. Not only I was able to avert these conditions, I was able to stay off of dialysis until I received a kidney.
