We were really hoping to see the Buddhist Monks and were disappointed that they were so close and yet, our schedules did not align to see them in person. I'd been following them online for days. Then... we heard they were just down the street. We scrambled.... Jumped in our car... drove down the street.... And then.... there they were.... we parked.... and then we ran to catch up to them...
So inspired by their discipline. Their devotion. Their 'Walk for Peace', designed to promote national healing, mindfulness, and compassion ~ amidst global conflict.... There was a sense of awe... A 'quiet' essence felt...
No protest. No agenda. Just peace. 🙏 It was beautiful...
People paused. Hearts softened. Tears were shed....
Across beliefs, politics, and differences.... an invitation — to slow down, breathe, and remember what connects us.
Their walk is dharma in motion, reminding us that peace begins within… and we need that now more than ever. And a reminder "that unity and kindness begin within each of us and can radiate outward to families, communities, and society as a whole," Bhikkhu Pannakara, spiritual leader of the Walk for Peace. Truth.....
In Yoga-Mojo practices this week, I'm sharing
✨ Lokah Samastah Sukhinoh Bhavantu ~ May all beings be free from suffering~ May all beings be happy & free
✨ Om Mani Padme Hum ~ The jewel is in the lotus,” a reminder that wisdom and compassion already live within us as tools for inner calm, clarity, and compassion.
May peace ripple outward. 🕊️
And, thanks to Laura A for sharing flowers received when she connected with the Buddhist Monks. Peace ripples.... Kindness ripples... Connection.... 💜
