July 2020. Post-two c-sections. At her heaviest weight. Gyms shutting down everywhere. Kristen Shaheen Williams stood at a crossroads. 😔

💪🏼 MOBILITY MONDAY

Hip Stretch and Mobility - Hip Reaches
The Hip Stretch Reached targets your hips and glutes—areas that get chronically tight from sitting at desks, driving, and daily life.
Why it matters: Better hip mobility means deeper squats, safer lifts, and less lower back pain in your workouts AND everyday movements.

How To Do It:
✅ Begin Seated with one leg in front of you and off the ground
✅ Swing that leg behind you and reach forward. Try and keep that leg off the ground
✅ Focus on moving Smoothly and slowly
✅ Repeat this 2 Times with the same leg
✅ Switch Legs

Pro tip: Do this weekly. Consistency > intensity when it comes to mobility.
Your hips will thank you. 💪

💪🏼 MOBILITY MONDAY

Hip Adductor Stretch: Your Inner Thigh Mobility Reset
Your adductors (inner thigh muscles) get tight from sitting, running, and repetitive movement patterns. This stretch helps you move better and feel better.

Benefits:
✅ Improves squat depth and hip mobility
✅ Reduces groin strain risk during workouts
✅ Relieves tightness from sitting and repetitive movements
✅ Enhances athletic performance and range of motion
✅ Supports better movement patterns in daily life

Pro tip: If you can’t feel the stretch, widen your stance. If you feel pinching or sharp pain (not a stretch sensation), narrow it slightly.

Do this 2-3 times per week or daily if you’re dealing with chronic tightness. Consistency beats intensity.

🏆 Celebrating Our 2025 CrossFit Coordinate Spirit Award Winner! 🏋️‍♂️🎉

We celebrate our member’s everyday, however, once a year we get together and thank them for their hard work and recognize some of their outstanding achievements! Today, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate Juman T. for being this years winner. of our Spirit Award!

🏅 This special award is given to the member who has embraced our classes, community, and culture. A member who consistently strives to help others and improve themselves through an embrace of CrossFit. We have so many members who could have won this award, but Juman’s love for CrossFit Coordinate really stood out.

❤️ Her fellow athletes love her hard work and how she makes everyone around her smile! She comes to class with such a positive attitude and it is infectious! Through CrossFit Coordinate’s classes and nutrition programs, Juman has gotten stronger, fitter, and has lost over 25lbs!
