We’re excited to share that Prue Physical Therapy and Sports Performance is now offering Dry Needling. Dr. Madison Harper completed her Dry Needling Certification through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy earlier this year, and we are excited to be able to bring this treatment technique to our patients!

Dry needling is the insertion of a thin needle into tender areas of muscle to release or inactivate trigger points and improve range of motion.

Benefits of dry needling include:
⏱️ Faster recovery
🔻 Reduced pain
💪🏼 Enhanced muscle function
💲 Fewer visits to PT and other healthcare providers

Stay tuned for a blog post about dry needling in the near future. Contact us today to set up your visit!

DID YOU KNOW ❓❓

The plantar fascia helps support the arch of foot and allows for shock absorption while standing, walking, running, or jumping! 🦶🏼

Common signs and symptoms of plantar fasciitis include heel or arch pain on the sole of your foot - often worse at the beginning of the day or after standing for a long time. If you’ve been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis or have heel pain, physical therapists can address the root cause, provide hands-on treatment and a targeted stretching and strengthening program.

In the meantime, try these simple exercises to reduce pain so you can get back to doing what you love! 👇🏼

🔹Plantar fascia massage with ball
🔸Big toe and plantar fascia stretch
🔹Arch doming / lifts
🔸Calf raise with ball squeeze
