Most women begin to feel movement between 16 and 24 weeks. As your pregnancy progresses, your baby will develop a consistent pattern of movement. While those movements may feel different in the third trimester, they should not decrease or stop.

If you notice a change in your baby’s usual movement, it is important to trust your instincts. It is always appropriate to be evaluated.

Staying hydrated during pregnancy is more important than many people realize. 💧

Proper hydration supports:
• Healthy amniotic fluid levels
• Nutrient circulation to baby
• Prevention of headaches and dizziness
• Reduced risk of dehydration related contractions

Aim to drink 8 to 12 cups of water per day, and even more during Arizona’s warmer months.
A simple tip: carry a water bottle with you throughout the day as an easy reminder to keep sipping.

Feeling your baby move is one of the most reassuring parts of pregnancy. As you enter the third trimester, paying attention to your baby’s movements can help you recognize what is normal for your little one.

Kick counts are a simple way to monitor your baby’s well being. Choose a time when your baby is usually active, sit or lie down, and time how long it takes to feel 10 movements such as kicks, rolls, or flutters. Most babies will move 10 times within 2 hours, often much sooner.

Getting to know your baby’s normal movement patterns is important. If you notice a decrease in movement or something feels different than usual, contact your OBGYN provider.

Trust your instincts. You know your body and your baby best!💕
