Hi friends! I’ve recieved so many messages the past 2 weeks from families saying they’ve tested positive for Flu A and asking if Elderberry Syrup can help! I thought I’d share some interesting info and let you know I’ll have a fresh batch ready tomorrow! 💜 Let me know in the comments if you would like to reserve a bottle or 2!

There was a new study that came out about Tamiflu and its ineffectiveness. I’ll link the study with a quick summary:
“Overall, 73 trials with 34,332 participants proved eligible. Compared with standard care or placebo, all antiviral drugs (tamiflu and a few other pharmaceuticals) had little or no effect on mortality for low-risk patients and high-risk patients (all high certainty). It did not cut down duration of the flu.”

We’ve been told for years it can cut down the time sick by 1.5-2 days…which I personally think is a poor success rate. On top of this info, it comes with serious side effects, especially for kids.

Elderberry on the other hand has studies showing it can cut down flu symptoms by 4 days!! 💜 Here are links to a couple of those studies:
“A complete cure was achieved within 2 to 3 days in nearly 90% of the Elderberry-treated group and within at least 6 days in the placebo group. No satisfactory medication to cure influenza type A and B is available. Considering the efficacy of the extract in vitro on all strains of influenza virus tested, the clinical results, its low cost, and absence of side-effects, this preparation could offer a possibility for safe treatment for influenza A and B.

So, what’s so good about elderberries? And why should anyone take elderberry syrup? •Elderberries are rich in vitamins A, B and C and are a traditional cold and flu remedy used for hundreds of years. They are known to have high antioxidant activity and the bioflavonoids and other proteins in the juice of the berry destroy the ability of a cold or flu virus to infect a cell.
