This week we're excited to introduce Keith, one of our talented cooks!

Keith has devoted several years to Heartland and continues to be a valued member of our team. He brings strong culinary skills, superb time management, and a sense of humor we’ve all eventually come to love. 😄

We’re truly honored that he’s chosen to make our home his home, and we’re grateful for the heart he brings to our kitchen every day.

We appreciate everything you do to enrich the lives of our residents, Keith!

Today we celebrated our Heartland Thanksgiving Family Dinner, and it was absolutely wonderful!
We had such a great turnout! The food was amazing, and the love in the room was truly spectacular.

Thank you to all of our staff for your hard work and dedication — we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.

And a huge shout-out to all the families! We are so thankful you came. Your presence means more than you know, and it is so deeply appreciated. 💛🦃🍂

📝 Resident Council Update

Today’s Resident Council meeting was a wonderful one. Our residents discussed topics important to daily life here at Heartland, and they continued their new tradition of recognizing staff members who go above and beyond.

This month, they selected two outstanding employees:

👩‍⚕️ • Chloe Hawkins, LPN
🔧 • Tristan Brown, Maintenance Director

The residents spoke very highly of both Chloe and Tristan. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to our residents truly stand out — and the residents definitely notice.

🦃 Craft Time Update! 🦃

Our residents love craft time, and they’ve been working hard on something special!
We pressed pause on our Christmas crafts so we could focus on our bright and cheerful Thanksgiving turkeys.

We’re hoping to have all of our Thanksgiving projects completed just in time for our Resident Family Dinner, and the residents can’t wait to show off their creations!

🍂 It’s been fun, colorful, and full of laughter — the Heartland way.

📣 Meet the Team Monday!

This week we’re giving a huge shoutout to one of our amazing CNAs, Robyn Edwards!

Robyn joined us earlier this year as a brand-new CNA — and you’d never know it now. She goes above and beyond for our residents every single day. Her positive attitude and compassionate demeanor make such a meaningful difference in our home.

Robyn, we want you to know just how much you are appreciated here at Heartland. Thank you for everything you do! 💛

Happy National Pickle Day! In therapy we made pickle roll ups and enjoyed different pickles as well as pickle chips!

🎄 Christmas Spirit is Going Strong at Heartland! 🎄

Our residents stayed busy today spreading holiday cheer! This morning, we continued creating beautiful Christmas ornaments — each one unique and full of personality. All of the ornaments are being added to our special Christmas basket, ready for when we begin decorating on November 21. We can’t wait to see our tree come to life with everything they’ve made!

This afternoon, Cooking Club met and made white chocolate–covered pretzels, and they were a huge hit. The sweet smell filled the activity room, and our residents enjoyed every minute of it (and every bite!).

🌟 Thankful Thursday 🌟

We are beyond blessed to know such an amazing group at the Casey Senior Social Center! Today, we wanted to stop by and let them know.

A special shoutout to Haley for doing such a wonderful job supporting our local seniors! Whether it’s solving puzzles, playing cards, or sharing stories, there's always a warm and welcoming atmosphere every time we stop by. And we absolutely love seeing the excitement around all their group trips! 🚐

Such an incredible resource in our community! 🙌

Today we held our annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Heartland. 🇺🇸❤️
We were so proud to honor our very own veterans for their service and sacrifice. Each received a certificate and a commemorative pin in recognition of their dedication to our country.

A special thank-you to Dairy Queen for generously providing free Blizzards to all of our veterans — your kindness made the day even sweeter! 🍦

And another big thank-you to our IP Nurse, Dorothy, for supplying the cupcakes, cookies, chips, and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

To all who have served — both within our Heartland family and beyond — we thank you for your courage, dedication, and service to our country. ❤️🤍💙

Today kicked off our homemade Christmas tree ornament project! 🎄✨
We’ll soon have a special tree set up in the small dining room, beautifully decorated with handcrafted ornaments made by our residents. Everyone had such a wonderful time creating them — craft time is always one of the best times here at Heartland! ❤️

We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed making these festive treasures!

This week, we're excited to highlight Brenda King, our incredible Business Office Manager! 🙌

Brenda is the first face you see when you walk through our door and the first person many of us turn to when we need help. She wears many hats, and she wears them all with such professionalism and grace. From managing the office to offering a friendly smile and a helping hand, Brenda is always there to keep things running smoothly.

We are so lucky to have such a dedicated and hardworking team member. Thank you, Brenda, for everything you do! 💙
