A year ago today we remember the devastation that Hurricane Helene brought to Western North Carolina and 5 other states. Surrounded by the pain of loss, devastation, and destruction we saw light at the end of the tunnel. We saw our communities rise together with one goal in mind and we are so lucky to be apart of a community where the people care for each other so fervently. Surrounded by strength and care, we saw each surrounding community build each other back up, piece by piece.

Each community now has a renewed sense of unity, resilience, and hope. Today we are honoring not just what was lost, but what was found: the unshakable spirit of a community that shows up, again and again, with open hands and open hearts. WNC STRONG 💛💪
