Our behavioral health team continues to grow! We would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest behavioral health provider, Rachel Unseth, MS, LPC, CSAC.

Rachel is passionate about providing patient-centered care to patients of all ages, and specializes in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, including those affected by substance use or who identify as neurodivergent.

Rachel will be available for appointments in Cashton and La Crosse, with Prairie du Chien coming soon. She is also available for virtual visits.

Community sharps disposal is now available at Monroe County Health Department! Residents can bring in sharps for disposal during regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm 📆⌚. Sharps must be in a biohazard container or a strong, puncture-resistant container with a lid and will be safely disposed 🗑 of for free. We also have new sharps containers available for free 🆓at the front desk. Help keep our community 👨‍👨‍👧‍👦 safe by properly disposing of your medical sharps by bringing them to the Monroe County Health Department!

Exciting news!🎉

Last month, renovations began at the REACH Center for the future Scenic Bluffs – La Crosse Health Center! These renovations will bring together our current La Crosse dental and behavioral health services into one convenient health center location—co-located with several community social service agencies to better support the whole person.

The new space will offer:
✅ Expanded dental services with 7 operatories
✅ Counseling and group visit space for behavioral health services
✅ Comprehensive medical care, including exam and procedure rooms

Behavioral health appointments are continuing at the REACH Center throughout construction, so patients can keep receiving care without interruption.

Renovations are expected to be completed by spring 2026. We look forward to opening a space that strengthens both health and community in La Crosse.
