Whether you are in sports and about to play in a big basketball game or just a member of the Casper community walking on the ice, we want to prepare you with helpful information regarding ankle sprains. A commonly asked question is whether to heat or ice your acutely injured ankle. Ice is best for the first two to three days to minimize swelling and then you can switch to heat to promote blood flow and healing.
