🚨 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MANAGEMENT 🚨

After careful consideration, I’ve made the following updates effective immediately:

👉 All staff must check in with me before each shift (snacks required for approval)
👉 Plan of Cares will now include: “Give snacks, be nice, repeat” ✔️
👉 Wheelchairs will now come with built-in cup holders… because priorities ☕
👉 Any client calling you by the wrong name? Congratulations, that’s your new name now.

🩺🎉 Happy Employee Appreciation Day from All About Family! 🎉🩺

Today we’re celebrating the real MVPs of healthcare — the Nurses, CNA’s, and Direct Care Professionals who somehow manage to keep everything running while surviving on coffee, Red Bull, Random Snacks, Oreos, and pure determination. ☕⚡🍪

And honestly… the calendar understood the assignment because today is ALSO:

🍫 National Chocolate Cheesecake Day
🍪 National Oreo Cookie Day

Which, in long-term care, are widely recognized as essential clinical coping tools.

Because let’s be honest…

If you’ve ever:
✔ Answered the same “HEY NURSE” 30 times in the last 10 minutes
✔ Heard “I just went but I have to go again” immediately after a full Hoyer transfer
✔ Started charting… got interrupted… restarted charting… got interrupted again… and then forgot what you were charting about
✔ Drank coffee that was reheated three times in the microwave or completely lost your coffee
✔ Been asked “Is it almost shift change?” before your shift even started

…then congratulations, you are officially a long-term care healthcare warrior.

Even Zeus and Hera from the All About Family morale department stopped by today to recognize the team.

🚨🐾 MONDAY GRATITUDE — HEALTHCARE CHAOS EDITION (Zeus & Maverick Reporting) 🐾🚨

It’s Monday.
Zeus checked the schedule. Maverick checked the snack cabinet not knowing Zeus actually had already checked it.
Both agree: this feels like a “why is the printer broken, the phone ringing, and someone said ‘quick question’ at 8:01 AM” kind of day.

Today Zeus & Maverick are grateful for:
☕ Coffee strong enough to chart itself
🩺 Coworkers who understand that “I’m fine” actually means “please hand me caffeine immediately”
📋 When the shift almost ends on time (rare wildlife sighting)
📞 Calls that start with “just one small thing…” and definitely are NOT one small thing

Special appreciation to our All About Family staff who show up every Monday (and every day that ends in a y) ready to:
• Solve 37 problems before lunch
• Smile while internally calculating how long until their next break
• Translate “I don’t feel good” into actual medical detective work
• Document everything… then document documenting it

Maverick says if healthcare workers were powered by appreciation alone, the system would collapse by Tuesday — so please also include snacks.
Zeus says if you’ve ever reheated the same coffee three times and still forgot to drink it… you deserve a trophy and a nap.

Seriously though — your compassion, patience, and ability to function on minimal sleep and maximum heart make a difference every single day.

If you showed up today, helped someone, and only forgot one thing…

You’re basically crushing it.
