Be a part of a movement too big to ignore. Join advocacy groups across the country on March 5 for the ‘National Call-In Day’ to protect special education and disability civil rights.

Families, self-advocates, educators, and community members are invited to contact their Members of Congress and share why programs like the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS), and federal special education oversight matter in their daily lives.

This is about lived experience and what is happening in your classrooms, communities, and families as federal support is cut, protections are weakened, and rights are under attack.

You can find your U.S. Senators and Representative online, or call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected.

About Us

Our Mission:

Our Council was established in 2019 as an Advisory Council to the Casper City Council and City Manager regarding the problems and concerns of people with disabilities as they relate to activities of daily living; including employment, recreation, transportation, architectural accessibility, or any other area of concern to people with disabilities in Casper. Persons with disabilities make up a majority of the membership on the Council. The remainder of the Council is composed of caretakers, family, and/or parents or legal guardians of persons with disabilities.

We Seek to:

  • Develop a City Plan for addressing issues affecting people with disabilities by establishing goals and objectives; establishing priorities to implement the goals and objectives set forth; and develop project and budget proposals for presentation to the City Council.
