Myrna came to Wyoming Surgical Associates for a hernia on top of a previous hernia repair done out of state 10 years ago. After moving to Casper in 2024, Myrna's imaging center referred her to Wyoming Surgical Associates. It was a great fit from the start; Dr. Morrison provided Myrna's care, striving to take the most non-invasive route to make surgery easier on Myrna, who had experienced hematomas and other complications from her hernia.

At Wyoming Surgical Associates, we specialize in hernia repair. Surgery is the only treatment option for hernias, typically requiring the placement of a reinforcing mesh; however, surgical treatment options vary, including:

• Open hernia repair: The hernia is repaired with surgical mesh or by suturing the muscle closed.
