Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act like tiny messengers in the body. 🧬
Think of them like text messages telling your cells what to do — support recovery, metabolism, muscle, skin, sleep, inflammation, and more.

Your body already makes peptides naturally… science just learned how to use them more intentionally.

Most people hear the word “peptide” and think it sounds complicated… but it’s actually pretty simple.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act like messengers in the body. Think of them like tiny text messages 📲 your body already recognizes and knows how to respond to.

They don’t “force” your body to do something unnatural. Instead, they send signals that may support things like recovery, metabolism, muscle preservation, sleep, inflammation, skin health, and more.

Your body is already communicating constantly. Peptides are just one way to help guide the conversation.

The key is understanding:
✨ what goal you’re trying to support
✨ what signals your body may need
✨ and why there’s no one-size-fits-all approach

Education first. Always.

I have to admit something…

As a chiropractor’s wife, and a crunchy mom I’ve always believed in the foundations first.

Food. Sleep. Movement. Sunlight. Minerals. Nervous system support. Stress reduction. All the holistic things that actually help the body function better.

So when I first started hearing more about peptides, part of me thought, “Is this really aligned with the way I think about health?”

But the more I learned, the more I realized peptides aren’t working against the body.

They’re actually designed to support what the body already knows how to do.

They help signal the body at a cellular level — supporting things like recovery, inflammation regulation, tissue repair, hormone balance, and overall function.

I don’t believe peptides replace the basics.

I believe they work best when the basics are already in place.

And as someone who has lived in the chiropractic world, seen the power of supporting the body naturally, and also believes women deserve to feel strong, energized, and like themselves again… I think this conversation matters.

If you’re curious about peptides and want to know where I’d start, comment STACK and I’ll send you what I’m taking right now.

Want the full story! Here is my substack https://substack.com/ where I break down the whole story behind the Reta controversy and why you are seeing it disappear from grey market sources.

Let’s talk sourcing 🧬
Right now, peptides are reaching people through three main channels:
• Black market — unregulated, frequently imported from China
• Gray market — direct-to-consumer sites marketed as “research use only”
• Compounding pharmacies — 503A-sourced and prescribed by a provider who reviews your health history first

Most people have never heard of AMPK. But it may be one of the most important metabolic switches in your body.

AMPK, AMP-activated protein kinase, is your cellular energy sensor. When energy is low, AMPK flips on and shifts the body into efficiency mode: fat oxidation increases, glucose uptake improves, and mitochondrial function gets prioritized.

MOTS-C activates this pathway directly, and it does it from inside the mitochondria, which is what makes it unique among peptides. It’s not coming from outside the cell and knocking on the door. It’s originating from within the powerhouse itself.

When AMPK is activated through MOTS-C signaling, the downstream effects include improved insulin sensitivity, enhanced fat metabolism, and better cellular energy regulation, without stimulant activity.
This is why researchers are paying close attention.

The AMPK pathway is one of the most studied targets in metabolic and longevity science. MOTS-C hits it from an angle nothing else does.

Mitochondria don’t just make energy. They make peptides that regulate your entire metabolism.
MOTS-C is one of them, and it’s changing how researchers think about metabolic decline, insulin resistance, and aging.
It works by activating AMPK, a pathway that shifts the body toward fat oxidation and improves glucose efficiency at the cellular level. Not through appetite suppression. Not through stimulation. At the source.

We use chiropractic to improve how your nervous system functions.
Most people train, eat better, and try to stay active but overlook the system that controls all of it. If your nervous system is not working well, everything else is working harder than it should.
At 307 Chiropractic, we help people stay ahead of that. The goal is not just relief. It is better movement, better recovery, and a body that keeps up with how you live.
