Wyoming Yoga & Wellness

Wyoming Yoga & Wellness We encourage people of all ages and fitness levels to unite and participate in activities that inspire internal happiness, peace, and self-acceptance.

At wyOMing Yoga & Massage, we focus on enlightening our clients on the fundamentals of yoga and the true reasons we practice it. Many people believe in the misconception that yoga is just a form of physical exercise and you have to be fit and flexible in order to participate. This is simply not true - it’s much more than a just system of stretches, exercises and relaxation techniques. Yoga is a vast system for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and well being. The practice of yoga is an exploration of ourselves on all of these levels. In the broadest sense, yoga is a "Way of Life". It teaches us how to proceed in life with wisdom, awareness, and true understanding
With our diverse group of highly trained instructors and massage therapists, wyOMing Yoga & Massage is able to offer a multitude of services for every 'body'. See our website for current schedule! wyomingyoga.com

Saturday classes at Wyoming Yoga & Wellness, 9/27.

7:30a - Breathe. Float. Release. Join Michelle Manzanilla for a heated class that will begin with mindful breathing and soften into shoulder-opening yin poses, then flow through a vinyasa that lifts you into balance with Half Moon + Warrior III. Grounded, light, and spacious — all in one class. https://momence.com/s/118917467

9a - Join Alicia Roberts for a Supportive Flow and feel the power of community as you flow, breathe, and sing along in a Vocal Vinyasa class that blends mindful movement and light singing to deepen connection, trust, and ease on the mat. This all-level, 75-minute practice invites support, love, kindness, breath-led sequencing, and affirming cues to nurture balance and heart-opening. The practice includes supported poses such as bridge, fish, and cobbler’s pose to enhance grounding and flexibility. Join to build belonging, improve breath control and mobility, and leave grounded, energized, and connected. Bring your mat, water, and an open heart. All are welcome—see you on the mat!

The falling leaves remind us that nothing lasts forever, but nothing is ever truly gone either. Each ending is the soil for a new beginning. In yoga, every exhale carries this lesson—each breath out makes space for the next breath in.
✨ May your practice invite you to welcome endings not as losses but as doorways. What new beginning is waiting quietly in your life, ready to emerge when you make space?

Pose Spotlight ✨ Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II)
🌿 Benefits: Builds strength in legs & core, opens hips & chest, improves balance and stamina, sharpens concentration
💡 Tips: Keep front knee stacked over ankle, press outer edge of back foot firmly into the mat, gaze softly over front fingertips
✨ Fun Fact: “Virabhadra” was a fierce warrior from Hindu mythology, created by Shiva. This pose embodies his strength, focus, and determination.

Warrior II reminds us that true strength isn’t about force—it’s about steady presence and grounded awareness. 🌟

Pose Spotlight ✨ Garland Pose (Malasana)
🌿 Benefits: Opens hips, stretches ankles & lower back, supports digestion, strengthens the legs
💡 Tips: Keep heels on a blanket if they lift, press elbows gently into knees to open hips, keep chest lifted and spine long
✨ Fun Fact: In many parts of the world, Malasana (a deep squat) is still the natural way people sit to rest, eat, or chat—reminding us that this pose is a return to our most instinctive posture. 🌍

Malasana invites you to ground down, release tension, and reconnect with the earth beneath you. 🌱

Saturday classes at Yoga & Wellness , 9/20.

7:30a - 🍂 Autumn Equinox morning sweat! Join Nikki Allen and welcome the turning of the seasons and the Celtic celebration of Mabon—a time of balance, gratitude, and harvest. Together, we’ll explore how this sacred shift invites us to move in alignment with nature.
Our practice will center around balance poses, heart-opening flows, and grounding movements that honor the waning sun. Come warm your body, connect to the rhythm of the Earth, and celebrate the abundance of this season. https://momence.com/s/118626972

9a - Journey "Beneath The Skin" w/ Maxine.
This class explores the space between effort and surrender. Inviting you to drop pretenses, shed ego, and move from a place of raw, embodied truth. Think of it as emotional excavation through breath, sweat, and rhythm. https://momence.com/s/121131370

Seasons remind us how little control we have over the world outside. The wind shifts, the rain comes, the temperature drops—and yet within us, there is always a place of calm. Yoga helps us return to that center, so we can remain grounded no matter how the external world changes.
✨ Let your practice be a shelter in the storm, a reminder that you can bend without breaking, and breathe without losing yourself.

The first yogis were meditations, not movers. 🧘
They definitely weren’t doing handstands or downward dogs—they were sitting still, mastering the art of presence. 🧘‍♀️ The movement side of yoga came much later as a way to prepare the body for meditation. 💛💫

✨ Pose Spotlight: Bound Half Lizard Pose (Utthan Pristhasana variation) ✨
🧘‍♀️ A deep hip opener that invites both strength and surrender.

🌿 Benefits:
Opens hips, quads, and hamstrings
Stretches hip flexors (great for countering sitting or running)
Strengthens arms, shoulders, and chest in the bind
Improves balance, focus, and patience

💡 Tips & Tricks:
Warm up first with low lunge, lizard, and gentle twists.
Keep the front foot grounded and knee stacked over ankle for stability.
If the bind feels out of reach, use a strap
Breathe deeply into any sensation—never force your way in.

🌸 Fun Fact:
Bound poses aren’t just about flexibility—they’re about cultivating trust. The bind becomes a reminder to release control while staying steady.
