Top 10 Thursday with a returning number one. Proof of periodic inspection was again the clear number one. Tires leaking or inflation 50% or less than of the maximum inflation pressure on tire not equipped with ATIS, came in second place. Nearly 30% of drivers inspected had clean inspections, including 147 trucks who's drivers earned a CVSA decal on the windshield. A big thank you to all the drivers who maintain their trucks and logs in great shape. These drivers are doing their part in keeping the highways safer.

TOP 10 ON TUESDAY
Here are the top 10 violations recorded from inspections during September 2023. No CDL violations increased in overall count, but dropped in the top 10. Our inspectors issued 156 CVSA decals for level one inspections with no critical defects. In addition, 576 Level II and III inspections were conducted with no violations! That is a large increase in clean inspections, so Thank You to those drivers that are doing their part to keep our highways safe.

Here are the top 10 violations recorded from inspections during June 2023. A concern for the month came from the amount of Operating a CMV without a CDL violations that were found. Please ensure you operate with the proper class of license based on your weight and vehicle configuration. Our inspectors issued 161 CVSA decals for level one inspections with no critical defects. Clamp or Roto type brakes out-of-adjustment was number 2 for the second top 10 in a row. Inspectors issued 202 CVSA decals for level one inspections with no critical defects. CVSA created a new inspection bulletin on inspecting tires on a vehicle with an automatic tire inflation system, which adjusts tire pressure based on a set cold tire pressure, and tires with a tire pressure monitoring system.
